I bought this bike a month back from @omer85 as he has done some major experiments on it to make it look this way including engine swap to bigger Thumper (200cc).

Have upgraded few bits and pieces and will be posting all the moderation I will do on this bike in this thread from now on.

Bike Received on 16-2-2014 from Islamabad :
Checked it and pushed it to limits while heading home.

    Nice offroading machine.

    Reminded me of a question,
which tyre will you recommend to explore KKH?
Panther Trekker 90/90, or Servis Cruiser 90/90.
I am confused as trekker will help in wet conditions but KKH is long way from BWP and it's a lot of highway travel which is best done on cruiser. Even most of the KKH will be tarmac.

Good question, this trail with knobby trye is total fail on tarmac, I will be swapping it with trekker Panther becuase its a perfect all rounder.

Service Cruiser has a very long life but it is very poor in road Grip (believe me I am using it in my RP) its as slothy as Garfield

Is Panther Trekker 90/90 - 18 is tubeless? if not then any tubeless tyre for same purpose as said above.
    Thanks

I second to waqar bhai.... Two tours on Panther Trekker ... It is not a tubeless but allround performance tyre.... Performed truly good on Tilla Jogiyan and then equally good to any other imported tyre on Neelam Valley tour.... Best on dirt... Mud and water and then very good on Asphalt and paved road ....

I agree with you Umer but on tours bilal ganj wala kam fail ho jata hai.. I had an option to install a Honda or Zuki trail 4valve engine even they had way way more power then this china engine but they are complete failure for a person who do long tours. becuase unky parts nahi milty..

These engines are CG250cc engines whos downcast 200cc variant is widely used in sazgar rickshaw here locally so that means where ever you are you will find most of the part which are adaptable from Honda CG and other parts can be used of orignal rickshaw and your touring will never fail.

Yes I do remember I have not down any changes to the engine this engine is a Ripped out of a dead accidented trail from Karachi which was of same breed as my one, its a CG250 series engine and 5 gear transmission.

Good to see that Rider's have started to realize that Trekker is far better than Servis Cruiser and Trekker is a lot better than those over rated and expensive indian tyres. It gives you proper balance between power and grip.

You can simply check the grip by pressing hard brake. You won't listen any sound from cruiser when it skids whereas Trekker will resist to skidding and still if it has to it will scream louder.

Trekker is basically an off road tyre, primarily. Using it on Roads, especially with Inter City drive is a stupid idea. Of course I am not saying that it won't work because it does, just fine. But its benefit is in Off Road Grip.

If someone would want to put it in a Junoon then 2.50-18 size (for Rear) is available in Panther Trekker. You can use it just fine. I hope I am not mistaken about the rear tyre size.

Default not really, trekker is not an "offroader only" bro

I beg to differ becuase "Panther Tyres" them self say its for variety of terrains and give excellent "ROAD" grip, according to them it is "suitable" for off-roading ......

lekin mera khayal hai offroad with heavy load I think they are talking about Down Town Lahore like Urdu bazar and 12 gates... and areas and town around it... the road there is more pathetic then the trek which goes to Saif ul malook..

    Ref:
    PANTHER TREKKER | Panther Tyres
Solid angular block pattern with deep grooves offering uniform wear and excellent road grip on a variety of terrains. Suitable for off road drives with heavy loads.

How ever your statement does completely fit in on this one from panther.. where they dont mention any road grip ...

    PANTHER ENDURO | Panther Tyres
Distant solid and aggressive blocks with deep and wider grooves. Suitable for off road driving and muddy terrains. First choice of sports and racing bikers.
