Cool My New Ravi Piaggio 2014 (New Model)

Hello everyone, yesterday i got my brand new Ravi Piaggio new model at last (awaited a very long time.)

Please i require your expert knowledge on first 1,000 KM as i previously owned a Metro 70CC bike and this is a very new experience for me. Guide me regarding the running and general maintenance for this bike, as it is quite sophisticated as compared to my old bike.

After every 1k ? i was asking only for the first 1k , i read it somewhere suggesting that to put a good class spark plug once, it will affect acceleration and startup in cold climate

yea i also don't think so but i read somewhere putting a good class plug increases fuel efficiency(perhaps fuels burns more efficiently) and acceleration . Otherwise i don't need to do something about it as long as i'ts fine

@neodescorpio No need to change spark plugg. They can easily clock 10-15k kms without replacement..
The one thing that unites all human beings, regardless of age, gender, religion, economic status, is that, deep down inside, we all believe that we are above-average drivers.

well that is my second piaggio and first one gave me a lot of lessons, though they were expensive by the way lolz. as far as top speed is concerned you are going through a critical stage. it all depends how you treat your machine in first 1000 kms. i will suggest you not to treat this machine as a baby. run it hard. i was a bit afraid doing the same at first place but later results were awesome. take you bike to 80 kmph and slow it down on gears not brakes. as it comes to 15 kmph take it again to 80kmph and repeat same. dont run it more than 30 kms daily. after 700 kms drag it to maximum and slow down on same procedure before your go for oil change and tuning at 1000 or 1200 kms. if any thing seems incorrect experts are here to correct me and i am here to correct them :p poof!

well thats not rule of thumb. This will do no harm to your bike. That is perfectly OK

    Nothing

Seriously don't expect much change in engine sound / pick etc. It will remain the same. You may notice some less vibrations IF you mechanic properly tighten all connecting nuts. Otherwise don't expect a drastic change you'll be disappointed. It takes atleast 2 to 3k km to come into full power. Things will get better with time not right after first tune up.

I don't think it's a good idea to get the tappets tightened only because they feel loud. Just ask the mechanic to adjust the tappets as per normal clearance and if they are still loud then let it be. Don't push the mechanic into over-tightening them.
You can switch to some thicker engine oil to reduce the noise.
