Cool Became a proud piaggio family member today! My RP 124 2014

    Dear Pakwheelers!
    AOA
so after much consideration and searching this forum,I finally bit the bullet today and went on to buy my first bike ever!
So far feeling pretty good!but i would really appreciate the help of this forum in keeping my bike in tip top condition.
    A little background first
both of my parents are doctors and they were strictly against buying a motorcycle because of very greater chance of head injury!but what could i do,I had caught the biker bug!
after much cajoling,i finally convinced them but they made me promise that
they'll only let me have one if i always practice safety first!

meaning all the safety gear whether summer or winter, dhoop aur chaooon!!!
    ATGATT!!
    i'll share pics soon!
so ibought safety gear first and bike second!

    Congos again
I'm also currently living in heavily congested area!think about hall road, lakhsmi anarkali type of rush! But I don't want to take the risk of driving in this area, at least not in the first few weeks! I usually drive at night when there is minimum traffic on mall. But now I'm thinking my helmet and all gear is black. It should be a little bit more conspicuous! Because during night , visibility is pretty much reduced already!

Wise purchase. This is the best bike in PK in terms of safe riding, good for long journey and pleasure riding. Awesome gear i must say. This is how a bike should be ridden

As you have asked for advice as well so here you go.

Chose your mechanic wisely. RP is known to get abused but hathorra mechanics. I have been a victim of this.

Change its stock plug on first tune up to NGK original one (the one came with it also NGK but i don;t find it pretty good it creates problem sometimes like missing etc).

As you are security conscious, better to change its rear tire as well IF you feel that it is slippery on sudden breaks. Don't get confused just judge it your self if you think that its grip is not up to the mark then change it otherwise its fine.

Best of luck May Allah Bless You.

So guys so far so good! Bike is running very smoothly and I'm really enjoying the ride!
But help me out here! Today when I parked my bike, I saw this clear transparent small plastic pipe hanging down from right side! It was not there before. I don't know what it is and what it does but I'm worried it is really close to silencer and it might melt. Kindly advise me what to do!! Thanks!

Battery pipe is not suppose to hang there muffler will surely melt the pipe
inspect the area you will find clips or hooks for it install it back there in its
correct path and also i highly recommend open side cover and make sure this pipe
is connected to battery drain or overflow hole

@Slickdesertfox! Thats the battery pipe, but its coming out of wrong place.

Do you see that Small Opening, just beside that small bolt pipe is crossing halfway? Take the opening end of pipe and shove it down that opening (to hide from both the eyes and the silencer).

And YES, it'll damage the pipe (if not melt it) if you leave it at this place because while the bike is running, that area of exhaust gets very very hot.
Riders on the storm ... literally.

Interesting story you have here. Or did it happened in reality??? I'm confused...
I mean, Ravi Piaggio doesn't look THAT cool...
My neighbour has a Daytona 675 (Yes, "THE" SIX SEVEN FIVE) with a very LOUD aftermarket exhaust which really growls but it doesn't seems to generate as much attention as your little Ravi... How you do that, my friend? A magic spell, perhaps? Do let me know.
    Thx.
