    Unhappy Accedental DownShift On Ravi Piaggio :( [HELP]

    hello every one,i have a RP 2012 ... last night i was coming back home from somewhere ,
    speed was almost 65kmh and it was third gear , i dont know what came into my mind , i was busy in my thoughts , i shifted down to gear one ..and the bike literally screamed ,,, RpM needle went to the last digit ,,,
    then i held the clutch and drove normally back home , now this morning when i tried to start the bike it wont start on Electric starter , it did start on Kick , bike is running fine ,
    but the bike is not idling now , i even tried to increase the race , still the same ,,,,
    btw i had the Valve done last month ,
    and before that incident the bike was running awesome , no issues whatsoever
    i need some experts here , literally i cant think of something else at the moment , pretty pissed at myself
    i m sensing a valve bent issue here ,,what do experts have to say about it ....

    This cannot happen -- ever, at least on GS 150 or CG 125.
    The gears come down one by one and not instantaneously if you are in a higher gear.
    Specially on GS 150, you have to do a clutch release between each interval otherwise the gear won't downshift.
    And first one is hard to get back until you pretty much idle the speed.

    This is because there is some sort of lock!


    It is possible some transmission sprocket might have slipped in your case and screwed up rest of the sh*t with engine.

    This is all because Ravi doesn't have years of expertise like other competitors.

    Now I am beginning to think if all Piaggio bikes are vulnerable to this insanely crazy glitch in transmission

    Damn you seem stressed. My suggestion to you brother would be to avoid riding or driving for a while and clear your head. Bike repair ho jai ga lakin pershaani main khud na khasta you could get in an accident. Baki Allah apna karam farmai.

    I recommend u take it to some 3rd mechainc and tell him the real story... n get an opinion what this sound might be about

    Bcoz if ur valves r bent or damaged, this mechanic would be thinking that he has messed ur ride and will be never confessing that something has gone wrong....

    It was useless in my opinion of u trying to blame it on the poor mechanic, u shud have tried to get done with diagnosing real problem and its solution

    There's no need to not to avoid driving.
    @ahsenz, this sort of thing happens. Whatever you do, don't get worried and keep driving. See my earlier post on my experience about the issue.

    o yess now i remember , bank k sath wali street main ? had a mini trail , poora engine banwaya tha from the guy ...
    the guy had a kawasaki 550 at that time i guess ,
    ill pay him a visit tom , will let u know ,

    if u are still using ur bike after he loseend the tappets then that means no valve is bent or else the bike would have been kaput by now... you valve or valve patti has took the damage and it will continue to make noise untill it is rectified the mechnic will keep on thinking its his fault but he cannot fix it becuase it will need more money ... rokker patti is above 1500RS these days.

    Accidentale double shift even tripple shift is possible in any bike u name it I down shifted on GS150 and gs500e with 3 gear with one clutch press... there is no lock or any thing just imaginations or a hard clutch.

    In CG, or an CG clones its even more easy to down shift but be sane enough to look at the meter before you release the clutch or else the consquneces are going to be this bad...

    I cannot double downshift from 5th or 4th gear to first on my GS, bought last week, in a single clutch press. If I do it anyway, it is not instantaneous and takes some time between each downshift. So there is a hard clutch or something.
    Did you get a chance to drive new GS 150?
