Default Super Power SP70 ignition stops when hot

    Hi there,

My 4/5 years old SuperPower SP70 is giving me these problems:

When running in city area where bike needs frequent stopping and running and when on load (multiple riders) I observed it breaks ignition when engine is quite hot and bike is standing on signal etc. it breaks ignition and engine stops. I kick it again after a minute and it works again. I verified it happens only on frequent stop city travel and only on load. when single riding, everything is smooth.

Spark plug changed a month ago NGK C7HSA. plug gap 0.58 mm.
Also I want to try that side-gapped modding on my old plug of same number. Is there any benefit?

original plug threads in head got slipped long ago so a bush has been fitted plug seat in head.
Should I use a long nosed spark plug because due to the bush distance has been added and plug is a bit away outwards from its original position. which plug for this ?

Also when bike is hot, clutch does not function correctly. gear shift is difficult and I have to use force to shift gear. when engine is cold it is OK. clutch cable replaced original crlf. and clutch cable adj is also OK.

    Please tell solutions!

Did you try changing ignition coil? In Chinese bikes these things are of poor quality. I am facing the exact same problem in my united 3000kms driven only and I plan on changing the ignition coil and plug with genuine Honda.

Yes I did changed Ignition coild already and that coil plate inside magnet is also changed because during one service, screw driver got forced inside damaged coils. So that plate needed to be changed. Above problems I mentioned started recently.

Coil plate (inside magnet) from a new engine of same brand Super Power bike. Spares shop sold me.
    Ignition coil from ISH company.
earlier I also tried CDI unit from another bike but that didn't made any difference so that's ok and I put my CDI unit back again

Than perhaps your valves have worn out. Still consult a good mechanic as he can suggest better.

AS stated in my post. Bike looses ignition when engine is hot at frequent stops in crowded traffic.

I modified the spark plug for side-gapping ( i-e cut down the plug terminal approx half as discussed on internet everywhere)
I immediately feel difference in pickups increase and good cold starting. Can't say improvement in fuel efficiency or not but it is a god change.
