Question 2-Stroke - Rich oil mixing makes engine pickup difficult

    Dear fellows,

My GTO 125 does missing when I stuck in traffic jams (frequent first and second gears) or when I reached 70-80 km/h mark and then press clutch till the speed lowers 50 or so and then try to accelerate again. Otherwise engine pick and its running is smooth overall. Currently, the silencer has a minimal smoke but there are oil sprinkles coming out from silencer upon engine revs up.

So what I should do, further decrease in 2 stroke oil mixing or there is something more ? My mechanic tells me to bear this if I want piston life.

Below is some extra information that might help you. Really sorry for taking your time.

Engine is recently overhauled. It has done 1400 kms so far.

During initial period, the 2 stroke oil mixing was very rich and the wasted oil (drops and sprinkles) was coming out of the silencer. After 500 kms my mechanic decrease the oil quantity which makes engine much smoother, got rid of missing by a margin (my mechanic called this missing as bharbhrahat or simply bhr bhr).

In the run so far, I never faced problems like:

A short plug, engine shutdown, engine overheat, bad fuel economy, issues in long run or climbing a bridge. Piston never seized.

Always uses oil pump (a brand new one) for oil+fuel mixing and uses Shell 2 stroke oil (the green bottle pack).

Plug is healthy, always comes out dry, little golden, no oil, no carbon.

It gets heat up in traffic as these are air cold engines means try to increase the prefix oil and also check the carb
    It's cdi right.

check plug wire.....especially where it connect to plug connector otherwise if your oil pump is working fine then no need of oil in tank......these are myths of mech.....if its so necessary then add in ratio of 50:1 50 litre fuel 1 litre oil..........and for more oil oil u have to make mixture slightly rich otherwise it will bog down .......if ur bike feels better by choke.......then its high amount of oil compared to fuel.....due to leaner mixture bike behave like this.

adjust the oil pump to factory specification and adjust the carburettor to factory spec too. Make sure there a gasket on the carb cover. I hope you are using the correct valve plate for your engine, the kawasaki KH engines use two kinds of plates, one has a larger window.

My bike is now running like charm, thanks to all of you once again.

It was weak carb and air locked oil pump issue.

My mechanic observed carefully, upon checking the oil pump, it was pumping less amount of oil as there was some air. He removed the air and re-adjust the pump. At this point we already started to see much better ride.

Secondly we replace the carb with genuine one, a very clean, on stock setting carb the jet slide and all. There you go, bike said thank you very much and now its running very smooth, very light, same running in slow or fast acceleration. Also no issues now in longer run.
@Xulfiqar, yes the valve plate is brand new genuine and is actual of GTO 125 alongwith brand new genuine valve cover. Also the gasket is in place properly.
