Default Help needed: purchasing Honda FIT

Hello. I am about to purchase a 2012 Honda FIT ...... I need your guidance to make sure that I get the right car.... it is for my wife and I do not want her to get stuck on the roadside.
I am told that many used cars are imported in damaged condition and repaired over here. I don't have a problem with this because I think we have very good body work specialists. I am not too sure of the engine and suspension. There are rumors that the meters can also be turned back.

    Here are some questions.
Are there any signs to look for if the engine is repaired?
Do I have to check any particular areas during the inspection?
Anything that can tell us that the meter has been turned back?
The seller says it is GP1. What does this mean?
They say that FIT does not have a spare tyre. Is that correct?
I get two keys or just one? I understand that spare keys can be a problem.
I read on the posts that there are 8 spark plugs. Is that correct?
Any other guidance in checking out the car would be welcome.
    Thanks.

salam.i recommemd you read all the posts in fit fan club.but i will try to short answer your queations.
    1339 cc Fit upto year 2013 is called Gp1.it has 8 plugs.mileage is around 20 km/L.
but as we get it in price of a normal non hybrid,so that is also a great mileage.
reverae meter is hard to detect.ususally condition and runninh of car tells real story.
deployed air bags show bad front accident.
its hybrid system can be tuned off just by a button in boit.so it will become like a normal car.so dont worry about if any hybrid problema which cant be solved locally.
it doest have spare tyre.instead punture repair kit.but a spupny can be bought just in 2-3000 and u can put it in boot incase u dont wanna use repair kit.all other equipment to replace a tyre is there in car
verify auction sheets for actual condition.if u can wait 45 days
    import it yourself.
and i recommend you go through a nice informative article about how to buy a jdm car.you can fid it in educational articles of this forum
