Default Honda fit hybrid or vitz?

    AOA..
I am looking forward to buying a japanese car this time after my 2013 gli got totaled in an accident. All I can arrange is around 14 or 15 lacs. Need some advice regarding my next car. I had 3 options in my mind

    1. Go for a japanese car in this price range.
    2. Buy a local used corolla or city.
    3. Buy a new swift.

I just need some advice regarding the available japanese cars in this range. Vitz and honda fit are easy options. If anyone could guide me regarding the pros and cons, performance, parts availability etc of both these cars. I wanna go for japanese car this time because of the safety features. I could have easily died in that accident.
please limit the comments to these 2 cars and help me in deciding which car should I go for

It seems that safety is on top of your agenda following your accident. If so, then locally assembled cars are out of question. Those within your range dont come with airbags or other active safety features. I would suggest a Vitz as a Fit hybrid might not fall within your budget and its better to buy a simple car in this country

Thankyou..would that be a better decision to spend an extra lac or two to get a fit hybrid? I mean, how efficient and better a car is it as compared to a vitz?

Fit and aqua are 2 that can be compared, fit is one step ahead of vitz, Fit is a better option imo than vitz due to powerful engine and fuel efficieny . IMA technology in fit is old and mature enough it is equivalent to eco idle we get in Mira eis so fit is not true hybrid but due to hybrid badge its duty is less. One more thing Fit is expensive than vitz in japan but due to reduced duty on hybrid it price get closer to vitz so logically one can better off buying fit over vitz in pakistan.

Fit is a better car overall. But lacks in spares and resale value. My relative has fit and it does 15-16 km/L in summers and vitz does 13 km/L. If your travelling is not that much simply get vitz. It will fetch you good value in future and has good enough fuel average.

Just go for Toyota Aqua, forget fit and vitz. It will give you 24-26 Km/l in city, almost double to vitz. You can get in 16-17 with verified auction sheet.

I beg to differ, Honda fit's hybrid has an electric motor like any other hybrid which assist and sometimes takes over the engine, has also got regenerative braking. So it is a full-on hybrid. However due to smaller size of battery and motor it doesn't act full-on as prius.

Mira on the other hand is in no way hybrid category, it just stops to when you brake. not at all comparable to Honda fit.

IMA has been abandoned by Honda and new fit hybrid has new hybrid technology "earth dreams" so investing in a technology which is obsolete is not wise.

It is as spacious as vitz and little difference with old fit hybrid. The advantages of Aqua are too much even if you gain a small advantage in space. If u want spacious go for Prius or axio hybrid.

These new things will ever continue to come, anything done in past is considered obsolete although it is famous in its time, IMA technology is old and mature technology, Fit Hybrid has IMA around 7 years, i don't think it is bad. Earth dream of course will be better but it is costly as well.
