Default Honda CIVIC 8th gen vs Honda Fit 2012?

    Guys!
I am really confused about which car to choose between the two mentioned in subject as both of them are falling in same price range.
When consider spare parts availability, I tend to fall to Civic while when I consider speed pickup, mileage and other luxuries and comfort it offers, Fit is the choice then. Please help!!

I won't be using daily as such. This is why I am inclined to get civic considering I don't have to drive much. Considering Fit only for the newness of it and for fuel economy(if fuel prices get high some day). What do you suggest?
