Default Suzuki FX: Chamber Seal is leaking (Engine oil leakage)

    Dear Experts

Car is suzuki fx and oil is leaking from chamber seal from right side (Oil is dipping on Foundation and from foundation it drops on the floor).

I show that to one mechanic and he is saying that for chamber seal they have to remove the engine completely but i would like to know is it possible to change seal by lifting the car up and do it?

In case i have to take the engine out than taking this opportunity what other seals i should change or any other maintainance work can be done if really engine need to be out for changing chamber seal.

Expert please advice what should i do?

In most of the cars seal can be replaced without removing the whole engine...don't know exactly about the Fx...

but in case engine needs to be removed...check gear axle seals and thoroughly clean engine and engine bay...

I have dealt with FX for a long time, as per my experience it can be done as bolts are downward facing, so yes chamber seal can be changed by slightly lifting the car, even lifting with a simple jack will do the job!!!!

    Dear Ceecix & Sharo;

I checked with one mechanic and he told me that for FX we need to remove the Engine because the GARDARI is below the engine. I checked my self and i can see the bolts facing dowards so at that time my personal opinion was it could be done with out removing the engine it self.

I will again recheck with other mechanic and keeping the close eye on Oil levels

As for removing the engine the mechanic is asking Rs. 2000 and for all the seals i have to purchase them seperately. but let me get 2nd opinion and take decision accordingly

same case with baleno gadri has to be removed.
its done with 3 jacks two lifting the car and one lifting the engine from gearbox side.
then gadri is removed and then oil chamber.

worst case scenario you have to lift out the engine, this can be accomplished in less than 2 hours if working fast. While at it remove the welch plugs from the engine block and replace along with other parts like timing belt etc.

    Check your oil.
Use a fluorescent leak detection system.
Apply a thin coating of talcum powder around the engine.
    Test the oil line
Locate the oil pan gasket and remove any sediment.
    Look for multiple leaks
Consider "steam cleaning" your engine to make it easier to spot oil leaks
