Default It's Ignis time, AlhamdoLillah :)

Presenting "Ignis Hybrid" by Suzuki Japan!

Assalam-o-Alaikum fellow PW's. AlhamdoLillah bought Suzuki Ignis Hybrid from Japan last month. By the Grace of Almighty, 1st Ignis Hybrid of Pakistan cleared from Karachi customs today and Insha Allah should reach Lahore in next 3-4 days Needless to say, I had to do a lot of survey and research before finally being convinced that it was the best option to go for in 1.8-2.2 Million range category. Pictures are from the auction house. Any questions regarding the car, feel free to ask and I shall try to address as per my best knowledge and ability. Main specs are:

Suzuki Ignis, MX Hybrid trim with 1.242L Dual Jet Engine and Mild Hybrid System
Transmission: CVT (option of 7 speed paddle shifters in MZ trim)
Push start, Multimedia leather steering, Cruise control (MZ)
    Climate control and 4 Airbags
    Magic seats
    Front LED lights (MZ )
Smart key entry system with Immobilizer
Vehicle Stability Assist, Hill start assist
Total Horsepower 92 (Engine + Motor) , Vehicle weight only 880 Kg so great weight to power ratio
Its SA grade , 1300 km driven, 2016 March manufactured

Its IGNIS time AlhamdoLillah -1703408Its IGNIS time AlhamdoLillah -1703409

    Design

    Sub-Compact Crossover

Concept? After its debut at Geneva and Tokyo Motor shows last year as a concept, itssales started in Japan on February 18th, 2016

Dimensions (Vezel comparison) ? Almost 2 feet shorter than Vezel Hybrid in Length but almost same Width, Height and Ground clearance as Vezel

Engine ? 1242cc DOHC Intake and Exhaust VVT, Suzuki?s Dual Jet Technology coupled with Suzuki?s SHVS (Smart Hybrid Vehicle System). Mileage figures for MX, MZ trim 28.0 kmpl as per Japan testing cycle. 0-100 km/h: 10.8 sec

    Features

    1. SHVS ? Smart Hybrid Vehicle by Suzuki Japan is categorized into mild hybrid system category (for reference Honda?s previous IMA in Insight, Civic and previous gen. Fit are most familiar examples of mild hybrid system). This system differs from Full hybrids in the sense that they are unable to run on EV mode alone, primarily there is Motor assist (in engine restart as well as acceleration), Regenerative Braking and Idle Stop functionalities achieved with the help of a separate Li-Ion Battery. Motor assist is achieved by a modern Integrated Starter Generator (Motor). For details please see http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2SswlsyuXb4

    2. Available trims ? MG, MX and MZ. (MZ has front LED lights, Paddle shifters and Cruise Control) All trims have the option of adding safety package and other manufacturer options.

    3. Trunk space - Plenty of trunk space for this category vehicle

    4. Complete list of features are here ???? HYBRID MZ ???? | ???

Yup the rear cut based on same design with addition of lights and agree that it could've been better with some led lights maybe

Congratulations sir. Very nice car. I have a small set of queries, though. First off , car looks very nice. Good interior and good ground clearance. Is it a RWD vehicle and does it come in AWD ? Secondly you mentioned that you opted for this car as you intend taking it up north. With a 1.2L hybrid engine, 5 passengers and the luggage, how do you think it's going to respond? Do you intend changing tyres ? Maybe something wider in profile to add to its SUVish looks. Once again congratulations on your beautiful purchase. Allah taala apko naseeb karain. Drive in good health Amen.

Thanks bro. AlhamdoLillah so far every thing as I expected looks compact from outside but amazing utility of cabin space from inside which I think again is a benefit due to it being a crossover. Very smooth drive so far. Wait for the detailed review in the coming days Insha Allah

Salam. First of all thank you for the kind words. Ignis comes in FWD and AWD both terrains. Despite the engine being 1.2 hybrid performance is excellent MashAllah so I think it'll go places where for instance vezel can go.

Yes exceeded my expectations AlhamdoLillah and definitely a big role of TECT body structure Suzuki Japan has introduced. The vehicle is really light (880 Kg only) and hence these results on normal drive mode. Gonna fill her today with our local fuel Insha Allah and then will again share the stats
