Default Patrol consumption of Suzuki FX

I have noted that engine oil gets black soon (even after 800 km) after i used to drive FX on patrol but it was ok on CNG. i am using mobil super since a long time.

when i inquired the situation from oil change mechanic He said oil is OK but it is dirty as my car's carburator is using more fuel than is used for eginition.

My average in Lahore City traffic is 12km/L. i think this is much low as compared to 800cc car.

i inquired the situation from another mechanic he is telling carburator needs service.

2 months before when i shifted to patrol i got it serviced along with tuning from my regular mechanic and he is of the view that this average is ok. my mechanic is good for CNG cars and i think not much for Patrol.

suggest me what is the problem and how it would be solved and where i should i go.

dear a car remain well tuned either on cng or petrol. Although some mechanic dont think that if they make car economical on patrol it will give poor performance on cng. you should tune it either on cng or patrol. there may b problem that your ring piston are weak. you can increase efficiency of FX max upto 18km/l which in my opinion is more than cuore

i m using patrol since two months and visited many times to mechanic complaining low average but he is of the view that this consumption is ok in city traffic i.e. 12km/L.

oil level remains constant even after 2500 km so i think there would be no problem of ring pistons.

if my car gives me 18km/L then i will never use CNG no matter patrol prices increase at rs 90 per litre.

kindly suggest how to get maximum mileage?

If you are not using CNG and want to improve your petrol average then a small hint....remove the airlock from your air filter box. this would improve it a bit. try it

@zad82,, i own a 07 civic manual, it is 1800cc ,,1000cc more than fx, in city its giving me an average of 11 km per litre, 800 cc should do alot better, maybe cuz the car is very old now.

SOLUTION: Clean or sevice ur cars, head & carburator, clean the plugs & replace its wires, use ZIC Hiflo engine oil, ur car will give 17+km on patrol, I hav an FX 2yrs ago, 12km is an average of 1000cc or 12,1300cc car.
Always thank Allah what you have!!!

Somebody here compared a civic 07 with fx............................

    things to be considered:

    1-Civic must be EFI

2-Engine Technology is much more advanced

    3-transmission is more efficeint

4-the car is only 2 year old

so dont compare 1800 and 800 cc with simple ratios like:

    1800cc gives 11 kmpl

inverse relationship between engine capacity and fuel average

    therefore

    800 cc gives...........(1800 x 11)/800=24.75 kmpl

    THIS THEORY IS NOT APPLICABLE
