Default why Allion has very low resale than Premio

Allion & Premio are pretty much the same still i have seen Allions (models 2003 around) hardly sell for 9 lacs or so while premio is of 13 lacs.. why is this price difference? besides both share almost every thing apart from few body parts. Allion looks more dashing but still have less value

If a car has less demand and more supply, definitely it will have less value.

what exactly is the diifference between premio & allion other than looks, because of which the demand of allion is low. both are available with same 1.5, 1.8 & some 2.0 engines and interior of both is also pretty same

I don't really think these two cars can go hand in hand here in Pakistani auto market. Toyota launched these two cars simultaneously but aimed at two different market segments. Allion was considered to be bought more by young people in contrast with Premio which was targeted at mature age segment (which obviously means its got more goodies/bigger wheelbase etc.).

In Pakistan buyers don't really sort cars into such categories neither imported used cars are advertised here. People go to showroom, see both cars, find price difference alongwith features difference so they select premio. Hence the demand gap is created which results in low resale.

Never try to understand why, the market doesn't really have any patterns. I would have to agree with what hunny said, less demand means less value

Allion and Premio share everything except front and rear lights and a few cuts. Both are same and there is not a single penny difference in wheelbase.

simple answer is that this is a nation of sheep,.. everyone does what everyone else is doing,.. this is why the XLi is such a hit, even though there are/were MUCH better cars out there to choose from.

^^^And this what makes the resale down.

Resale for that is directly proportional to number of similer car you see around.

In 2005 Cyprus Police use to have these Allions in there squad. and these cars were golli when ever they use to chase.
