    Default CNG Fielder/Pro-Box/Nissan AD

    Hi Folks

    I just want to know,

1- How is the performance of Japanese cars like Fielder, Pro-Box, Nissan AD & Belta ?
2- is their any conversion problem technically ?
3- What is current market price of EFI kit + cylinder ?

Please advise based on you experience & knowledge.

    Many Thanks

well in fielder and pro box people are using cng without any problem.
abt new cng kits, they are banned by govt. so you have to buy them in black and the price depends on person to person.

Probox and new 2006 onward fielder are with CVT engine. ppl are keep on putting CNG in it but soon they ll realize when they have to buy 60 to 70k new gear box after 30 to 40 k running

Same is the case with Belta.

    update urself:

    1. all the boxes mentioned i.e. probox, ad and all fielders dont have CVT.
    2. the current model city AT has a conventional auto gearbox not the CVT.
    3. CVT is a kind of transmission not the engine. the idsi city manual was ok with cng but the vario had cvt transmission thts y it didnt go along with cng

pls refrain from giving suggestions if u dont know the precise, correct info on subject.

Cng totally works fine on CVT transmission if you're using the proper CVT transmission oil, which is quite expensive from the ordinary auto oil. I'm using cng in my Cvt ek3 (EK3 Civic Vi Multimatic), I've driven 70k+ and there's no problem at all.

An IMPROPERLY installed CNG apparatus with WRONG CHOICE OF EQUIPMENT is what ruins a CVT gearbox since wrong install/wrong equipment reduces engine performance a lot resulting in more thrashing of the CVT gearbox.

So if you have a car with a CVT tranny and want to install CNG, then go for a SIS kit for trouble-free operation - otherwise be ready to bear the costs for a replacement gearbox.

before going to think about being CVT or Conventional the main thing is all the engines from Toyota having FE in in the end works initially well with CNG and later on their valves get burnt and that includes XLI SE SALOON local made too ... i am not making false assumptions i am writing it on behalf of my own exp. by the way probox and fielder easily gives 12 km / liter in city then why do you even need CNG ?
