Rust doesnt usualy means tsunami cars, Japan also has cities on the sea, But yes my 2002 Vitz still has to show rust marks any where despite being in Pakistan for 6 years. mashaAllah

PS: Pick up any car, even a most expensive JDM import or local cars, under carriage would have some rust. Thoose parts are depreciating parts. No can do anything about it,
Get over the fact that Xli lacks power windows, Its an Xli because it lacks thoose features or else it would be a Gli or an Altis if had all the goodies.

Rust on rotors? lol that appears in every car after a wash, drive it around for 5 minutes and it will be gone, rust on headers is normal for a corolla too.

@everyone: Poster is asking WHAT to do, not asking HOW it got there. Be relevant.

@poster: Get it to a paint shop asap and get some treatment on the rusting parts before its too late. There's various products available in the market that will be of help for you.

    Paint the disc rotors? WHAT
Rust (Zung) on Japanese Imported Car (Probox) - smi20

    Never do that.

Check the thickness of your discs, might be ageing then. It's very common to have rust on rotors after exposure to water, but it should be gone after a few kilometers of driving.

    Indus saves money
Get some heat resistant paint on the headers

@AhmedAliQureshi, get the paint of that specific area removed with a paint stripper. Smoothen the area out, primer it and then apply paint.

I would suggest you get it done from someone who knows what he is doing, and do it as soon as you can before the rust spreads and affects other areas.

Don't worry about it, and don't take that your car is tsunami affected seriously they just have a lot of time on their hands. Just take measures as soon as you can.
