    Can any one suggest from where to change Probox rear seats in khi at reasonable price and of which car seats should be installed.

    me too looking for that answer, btw someone told me that old prado's & axio's seat is a bolt on, on probox.

    Actually no seat would be bolt on in probox or AD Van. i also thought like same, till the time i got a AD van and went to change its rear sear in Pindi.
    The main difference is the lack of rear support in probox / AD. I mean in a normal sedan the back of rear seat gets support from sides as well as from the back and top of trunk (digi). U just have to place the rear of seat on already designed place.
    what they actually do for probox or AD is that they change the side clamps of car by welding extra material on that (dont worry, they actually remove the side hooks and then do welding, so no damage to car body). Then they also fix or fit angle iron (or something like that) for support on rear side of back rest of rear seat to provide it strength. This angle iron will actually support the backward weight of rear seat and passenger.
    Now the hooks located on side of seats would fit on modified side clamps.
    The whole process is not very difficult and if someone want to go back to the original seat, only change required in car is removing the side clamps and change them with like original ones.
    Desire is irrelevant!!!!!!

    Toyota Probox is a good car. D4D is the best. But if something goes wrong with 1.4 D4D engine then no one can fix it. The only solution is the new engine. But Engine is also not available in Pakistan.

    D4D technology is the best but not for Pakistan.

    No To Japneese Cars. Only buy the ones which are assmbled in Pakistan. spares are easily available. Japneese technology is far far ahead of us. Probox was desinged for commercial use, for loading. You have to make modification. Go to welder and ask him to install Vitz seat in your probox. He has to weld foundations on probox chasis. Good luck to Probox owners and all those who have Japneese modle cars.

    Bro D4D technology is smoke less engine. There is a special diesel for this engine, which is atomospheric friend. That type of diesel is available in Europe only & in India as well. This engine is desinged for Europe, not for pakistan.
    All Japaneese cars which are so called reconditioned are desinged for specific countries based on that country weather & roads, not for Pakistan. No to Japneese cars.
    Buy one Corolla Pakistani model and drive is on a bumpy road and buy a Japneese modle car and drive it on the same road, believe me if you are Engineer you will find the difference, The shocks used in Pakistan Assembeled cars are more heavy duty than Japneese cars, as they have very good roads with no bumps, they cut cost by using low grade suspension.

    D4D or Fiat's Multijet/DDIS, Hyundai's CRDI, Mahindra-CRDE all are the same basically as many of you already knows. that is - Common Rail Direct fuel Injection

    with the Diesel available in India(BS-IV/Euro-IV) which may be worse compared to Europe, all common rail engined vehicles are running fine. there is a fuel filter which needs to be cleaned and in some cars DPF(Diesel particulate filter) is there.
    D4D is noisy compared to Multijet IMO but gives better fuel economy. and yes, if you rev rpm above 3000, smoke will be there just like other CRDI engines! Honda's i-DTEC is the most fuel efficient CR engine(VFM territory), it seems. yes, repairing CR engines is possible. parts costs are high, but it is doable and needs many diagnostics gadgets. A set of 4 injectors for a multijet 1.3 engine comes at around INR 55000. most of the CRDI engines have Turbos. you have to idle minimum 30seconds before moving on and atleast 1 minute before shutting off the engine after a long drive unless Turbo timer is fixed.
