My observation to getting best mileage is to driving your car with in 1800 to 2250 RPM as i did always with my fielder and getting 14+km/liter with AC & within city.

2007 model fielders are coming with that zigzag kind of gear, does that mean they are having CVT? as in that case cng will be flop in these models, while the 2006 and prior models may be good with cng right?
also i have noticed the demand price for 2007 model z lower than that of 2006 y z that so.
and anyone using cng in fielder, wats the mileag?

I would not recommend installation of CNG in any vehicle. As far as Fielder is concern, there is no need to install a CNG because of excellent mileage. I have seen fielder with CNG, but again its own choice.

    Hi Folks,

I have been driving a 2006 Anniversary Fielder for last 8 months and after putting spacers for the back wheels (as it would hit the speed breakers) now loving it. Unfortunately met an accident and then I came to know that how difficult it is to maintain a Japanese or imported car. Parts were very difficult to get and repair was problem. Despite the fact, i still love this car and continue to use it but would like to flag the caution for the new buyers. There are only two dealers who sell the parts and they have monopolized it. All the best everyone.

@asmile79. This is a good initiative for Fielder owners and lovers. I must thank you for this because I also own a 2006 X for last 5 months.

Although, it is basic grade but has the same superior drive and performance as of higher grades. At the time of buying I also had an option of a 4wd X-G 40th anniversary edition but did not go for it due to its higher fuel consumption. And yes, I agree that installation of CNG is not a good option because its fuel efficiency is already way better than almost any other 1500 cc in the market.

The only drawback of this car is its road clearance (as with almost all other JDMs). With 4 passengers it bounces off at speed breakers. I am not so fond of raising it because its originality will not remain the same, and also its suspension will get stiffer. Other than that it is a super drive.

I have 40 anniversary model black color 2006 fielder.. It has genuine sixe non alloy wheels and genuine size tires and i m using liquimoly oil 10-40 grade and run 10000km aprox.. And now coming to point after all the details, the car is awesome in every aspect.. outclass performance, outclass mileage average per liter(12 with ac in city and at 20 at long at 130 km/h speed) the car can not be driven at 120 continuously bcz just by slight touching gas pedal, it goes to at least 130 and pick is outclass top is 195 plus.. Overall i rate this car 9.8 out of 10..
