Default My AXIO gave amazing mileage

Assalaam o Alaikum to all pakwheelers!

I wanted to share the fuel consumption of my 2007 Corolla AXIO as calculated on last Saturday, for info to all as well as for appreciation. We travelled from taxila to talagang via motorway on average speed of 120 km/hr. The route was taxila to islamabad motorway to balkasar interchange and then to talagang and finally to a village almost 10 km away from talagang. Average speed other than motorway was almost 90km/hr. Car had 4 passengers with 100% AC ON and fuel tank filled completely from a PSO pump on GT road near taxila. Rate of fuel on saturday was Rs 107/litre. On return I filled tank again from the same pump after 335 km running and found that it got filled completely in Rs. 2015. Surprisingly, with four passengers onboard and AC ON @ 120km/hr, the average came to be 17.8 km/litre. So, cost per km was almost Rs 6/. Please note that my AXIO has manual transmission and I have calculated almost the same average many times while travelling from my Job place to my village and back. But on average speed of 90 km/hr and single passenger i.e., only myself. The level of comfort is owsum too as told by my 3 friends onboard. Hope this helps many pakwheelers who are confused about buying AXIO.
    Regards.

To my knowledge, 5 grade cars are very rare in Pakistan. This grade is mostly reserved for cars with showroom standard condition. It is usually given to vehicles that are less than 3 years old (Understanding a Japanese Car Auction Grade Sheet) But it is strange that it has been given to your 2007 model Axio. Your car must be just like new. So it'll be great if you share its pics of interior, exterior, engine bay etc with us.

And, I agree that a 5 grade car with genuine mileage should not be needing any change of parts and lubricants (other than engine oil & filter).

Sir I fill the tank once and after driving for almost 600+ km in a month or so I fill it again, so fuel is not kept at full always. Anyway thanx for ur nice suggestion.

According to my knowledge and info:

S- The car is less than 12 months old from the first registration date and under 10,000km.
As good as new. The exterior and interior are in immaculate condition.
6- The car is less than 36 months old from the first registration date and under 30,000km.
The exterior has some very minor scratches/scrapes and dents. They may not need to be repaired.
5- The car is under 50,000km.
The exterior has some minor scratches/scrapes and dents. They may require some minor panel beating work and/or painting.
    4.5 - The car is under 100,000km.
The exterior becomes a grade-5 car with minor repairs.
    4 - The car is under 150,000km
The exterior has some scratches/scrapes and dents. They will require some minor panel beating work and/or painting.
The interior has some tears, cigarette burn marks, and/or stains. They will require some minor repair.
3.5 - The exterior has some noticeable large scratches/scrapes and/or large dents. They will require some major panel beating work and/or painting.
The interior has many tears, cigarette burn marks, and/or stains. They will require repairs.
3 - The exterior has many noticeable large scratches/scrapes, paint blemishes, and/or large dents. They will require major panel beating work and/or painting.

Is there MANUAL grade available in AXIO ?Is there MANUAL grade available in AXIO ? and i think you will lose more money at the time of selling, as people are mostly prefering AUTO in axio (my observation)

Yes sir, AXIO X and G both are available with manual transmission. Its the choice of people, some need auto and some need manual. Since I dont like auto transmission vehicles so I purchased one with manual transmission after spending too much time. And resale value is not an issue for me becuase i keep vehicles for long times, and by the way pakistan mein koi cheez sastee nahi honey wali.

I have an axio and over the last four months, i have calculated the fuel average both during city as well as motorway travel.
Within city average with AC on full time is 14-15 km/l, depending on how hard you push it.
motorway driving average is 18.5 km/l with AC and luggage.
My car is Automatic, but since it's CVT it performs better than manual both in terms of fuel economy as well as pick-up.

I used to have the same opinion about CVT too, but this car has forced me to change my mind. It is very fast, and pulls fiercely from any road speed.
But Brother, when I talk about manual vs CVT comparison, I refer to the same model of the same car. I have never implied that a 1.5 CVT Axio would be faster than a manual 1.8 Civic or Altis. But if you compare the same 1NZ FE mated to a manual and a CVT them certainly the CVT is faster.
If you wish to substantiate this you can see it on youtube, there are plenty of videos by manufacturers such as TOYOTA and NISSAN which show by comparison which is faster.
I agree with you, its definitely hard to believe. But its true.
