In cases like these always consult the OWNERS MANUAL. Engine k dhakkan pe b likha hota ha knsa oil use karna ha. As for brand you can use liqui moly, mobil 1 or zic.

Well according to what I know the engine is designed for a certain amount of protection. It should not be too low and should not be too high. If its low yani patla oil then there will be more friction than it should be normally and if its too high yani zada mota oil it will make it hard for the engine to work properly. So that appropriate oil grade is written in the manual. Its suggested by top class engineers. So why not follow it. If you wanna talk about brands well thats your own choice.

Toyota recommends low viscosity oils for new VVTi engines. Low viscosity oils increase fuel efficiency. I think 5W-30 viscosity will be OK for ur car's engine.

brother that is something new for me too as per your theory mobil 1 which is 5w-50 should create maximum friction - - - - - your theory for patla oil is completely WRONGGGGGGGGG.

fully synthetic oil which are new technology are thin like water, which helps them to circulate quickly and easily within the engine , whereas thick oil circulates late which results in high wear n tear.

Zic XQ ..... this is the only Group 4 oil available though an authorized dealers in Pakistan.

read the information about group 4 oils and you will agree with me. I would not send links as many here may say information is wrong or not authentic etc. do your own research on group 4 oils and why they are the best. rest of them available in market are imported by importers. only Zic XQ is sold by authorized dealers of Zic in Pakistan which is a group 4 oil and has long drain interval which fully supports how good this class of oils are.

@john its good to share information, read about mineral and synthetic technology on google. you will get more clear idea about their working + pros / cons.

Their molecular distribution is more streamline and small but you are completely wrong about the quoted comment..10w30 or 5w30 oils were formulated due to extreme emission control regulations in the EU and states which resulted in their origin..They increase fuel economy marginally but are not the best at engine protection..

High mileage oils are available in 10w60 viscosities the are the most expensive synthetic lineup with a drain interval of 50K +..Does that mean they are not efficient?WHy do they need to formulate oils in this range??

A thin oil flows fast at the expense of less viscosity..Thus reaching engine parts in time but with reduced friction control..

Thicker oil takes a little more time to reach different parts but it has high friction control(It is thick and has high shear control) and protects the engine better than a thin oil..

Any ways you wont find a marginal difference in 5w30 or w40 but i would certainly prefer the latter..

an engine flush performed using a mineral oil every 3rd oil change would keep the engine in nearly same protection as a synthetic..The only difference is in the drain intervals..

There is no doubt a synthetic is better than mineral but you are talking to an oil guru..I have plenty of knowledge and impart it aswell as i did in my previous statements.
