Default Honda Civic or Toyota Premio?

    Salams,

Which of the two is a better buy:

    - Zero meter pak assembled 2013 Honda CIVIC (price Rs. 2.2 million).

    or

    - Imported and used 2006 Toyota PREMIO (price Rs. 1.6 million).

    --------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Similarly, IF you had the choice b/w new 2013 CIVIC and used 2007 PREMIO (new shape)which one would you pick ?????

Please also give your reasons for the pick.

    Thanks for your advise.

I would pick 2013 Honda CIVIC.

    Reasons:

    1) Brand New is brand new car and will be trouble free for atleast 5 years.
    2) Better Interior and Exterior with good gadgets.
    3) Better and powerful engine with ECO mode( will give 11-13KM/Ltr local average).
    4) It will have better resale and parts availability.

And Buying JDM cars is a hassle to check all the things because frankly almost 80% cars are tempered or have touch-ups.
The winner ain?t the one with the fastest car, it?s the one who refuses to lose.

I would say premio..Though JDM cars are used but its once in a blue moon that anyone of us hear that someone bought an old Japanese car that did not workout that good.i myself own a fielder and a Pakistan corolla GLI 2012,and I must say fielder hasen't given me any problems from the day I bought it but corolla has,I don't want to start another Toyota Honda war here on their manufacturing flaws the point is premio is a very nice car in its drive, its looks and in its comfort.this is all just from my point of view.although civic has a lot new shashkay but premio all the way

It will be a safe bet to go for brand new civic with latest features and support. You don't know about the used car and how some one handled it. You will be trouble free for next 4 to 5 years. Also it is very difficult to find a clean used car.

I was in a similar situation, decided to opt for new civic, happy with my decesion. Reasons; price difference b/w new civic and used 1.8 xex premio civic 2.4 mil while used premio around 3.0 million, authenticity of mileage, resale and most importantly authenticity of documentaion

I second these opinions. Why would you waste some 2million+ on a used car? Civic is much better, brand new, comes with warranty - for jdm, once the dealer gets hold of the money, its a state of "tu kon mai kun" if you have an issue in the car.

Personally, civic is much better than premio, just a small example - its more fuel efficient and has 4-wheel disc brakes while a premio has only front wheels disc brakes.

It's not once in a blue moon that you hear about issues with jdm cars. Jdm cars come damaged, mileage altered, and they repainted/detailed in Pakistan. They are NOT reconditioned. They are sold as is in Japan auctions. And this is true for at least 75% of the cases and I have underestimated this percentage. And I didn't even mention the gazzillion things that you would need to change to get the car in somewhat optimal driving condition, if you go for a premio.

I have lived in Japan and I know what kind of crap is shipped to Pakistan. No offence to any honest jdm dealers and owners.

Personally I think even the comparison of a sushi eating Japanese driven (aka roughed) premio with a brand new civic is an insult to the latter

100 Percent agreed...No match of Brand New Civic wiith Premio...Brand New car is a brand new car, where asAll JDMs imported have undoubtfully tempered meters and after sale service/spare parts availability is almost nil..
