    Default Toyota premio problem after first oil change

    Salam.i bought fresh import toyota premio 2007 1.8xex with japanese oil in it .after driving 1000km i changed the engine oil and inserted zic A+ 5-20...according to its manual ..but after changing the oil the sound of the engine is increased specially when accelerated quickly.previously it was very smooth and quite.plz tell what eng oil should i insert now.????thanks

    if its excessively noisy on proper grade of oil then the used car dealer who sold you the car probably poured something "special" to hide the noise

    go for toyota motor oil. not the petron ones but the imported one avialable at toyota motors in tin packing with grades i guess 10-30 the petron one is 20-50. i recommed the imported one. hopefully the problem will be gone.
    and yes get it changed by toyota they better know about that sound as well...

    use 10W 40 as 5W 20 is not recommended in extreme summer

    1+, Try 10w-30
    Even if you are on the right track, you will get run over if you just sit there.

    I was also thinking da same dat 5-20 would be for cold weather but it was recomended in its manual for +50 degree charlie

    Please use imported German brand Fuchs SuperSyn 5W-40 API SN at Rs.591/L in 4L can. It is available at Fuchs WH in H#33, St# 39 F-6/1 Isd. Ph: 051-2604146. if you are in any other city I can give you addresses of other cities.
