    Default Engine swap in Toyota Crown From 2JZ-GE to 1G-FE

    Asslam O Alikum!
    today we started the engine swap previously it was fitted with 2JZ-GE but it was not good in fuel economy but the acceleration and performance was too much. so putting the acceleration and power at a side we decided to put some economy motor in the vehicle. so decided to swap it with the Toyota 1G-FE with ECT transmission. which was donated from the GX100 Toyota Mark 2 2001 model vehicle. folowing are some picture's of the swap. and will update later.

    A much nicer option would be to swap a mercedes benz M104 in there. It is beautifully designed and overbuilt to the level of insanity. Punches real hard when you push it.
    the diff is also changed before it was matted with the m302 diff assembly

    between the word hevier does not matter in the case of crown because it has the difference of just 150 kg if compared with 2001 mark 2

    for you 150 kg maybe nothing but it does really matter - anyway... its an old body swapped crown, they are now on the same lines of the chiiyattar kirolla (76 corolla) in Pakistan. Everything that can be done has been done to them.

    hahaaaa you are comparing it with rolaa because you are not in pakistan right now enjoying the rides in texas you are a great man you can say anything. but do you had some experince with 1g series engine's?

    yes - these swapped crowns are equal to the old corollas because they have been hacked up into many forms like the old corollas. anyway - I have worked on 1G engines and they are not all that. I would have chosen the 2JZ over the 1G, unless my 2JZ was dead, low compression, rod knock etc.

    so why not modyfy the 4a in a crown just my idea by the way the ecu comes with this 1G has more aggressive fuel and ignition table as compared to the older ones as we had tested this on road with another crown with 1G

    sab kuch marta hai bhai aap nay chalaya nahe hai is liye bool rahay hain wesay engine ka desighn dekh kar aap kuch guess nahe kar saktay. aur EC1 ko to bhai aap nay dil par lee liya hai>>>>>>>

    no one swaps the 2jz i hiaces and costers these days hiace walas go for the 3y,4Y,1RZ,2RZ,1TR,2TR,and again for the diesel. and generators are

    People want an engine that runs 100 kms/lit can move a 1700 kg car to 100 km/h in under 5 seconds and it should run on CNG too, and to top it - its parts should cost a total of Rs 100/- for everything. For them even a lowly honda CD70E is expensive.

    I have driven a lot of these 1G-FE, 1G-GZE and 1G-GTE X platform cars, they are useless with this engine, they only shine with a 1JZ or 2JZ - the 1G is like bit of a child born with the neighbors wife, its a 2.0L six whose only quality is that its smoother than the 3S but quite a bit weaker too - consumes a bit more fuel as it has more friction than a 4.

    But your money, your car, your game.

    And for God's sake put the engine in a closed room on a stand like a proper workshop.
