    Default Changing Differential Assembly Of TOYOTA CROWN 1992

    As we had done the project of swapping this vehicle with the 1G-FE engine now it is the turn of differential assy to be matched with the the powertrain. so here are some picture's of old diff assy

    yes ur right rear differential should match the gear ratio
    1- False friends r worst than open enemies , 2- Only Youth can change the system

    the acceleration and low end and high end performanc was quite well and also the fuel economy was also very impressive from the old one diff but still we had to follow the sequence so decided to change the diff as well from the 1G version of the crown so doing it and had extrem improvement in acceleration and cruising and bit the RPM drop's by 400 on each shift interval quite fast ride as some guy's were saying it will be hard to pull the load. nothing that all going very well.

    yes ur right but after changing the differential it will change the gears at right RPM or else it will give bad fuel average and might effect the transmission also

    what ratio is the diff, must be a bit taller to compensate for the weak engine.

    yes sir it does compansate for the weak engine but on the new diff the rpm's drop by 400 on each start shift and the car now fly's with power and plus the economy has also improved and plus acceleration is improved by 15% so cannot feel the difference now that we are driving a 2.0 L car still feels like 3.0 satisfied customer.

    sir cannot understand plz elaborate in simple word's thank's between the crown was offered with 7 different type's of diff assy and the 1G version crown has 3 different diff varaieties one with LSD btw how is your idea about the LSD with it I was asking my father to replace it with that but he didnot recommended me that LSD what is your opinion sir.
