Default Mark X Transmission problem, Experts Plz Guide

    Assalaam O Alaikum,
I have purchased a Mark X few weeks later, now I realise that my car is running on 4 gears only although it have 6 speed auto transmission, gears from 1 to 4 shifts normally,
etc when I m very light on gas (picks it up very lightly) 2nd gear shifts @ speed of 10 km/h,
    3rd gear shifts @ speed of 20 km/h,
    4th gear shifts @ speed of 35 km/h,
After that it stopped up gear shifting, it runs @60 km/h with 2000 rpm,
    @80 km/h with 3000 rpm,
    @100 km/h with 4000 rpm,
And becomes very hard on gas, I mean it consume a lot of petrol.
I have discussed this issue to many mechanics and experts, and done these few things
1)changed transmission fluid with Toyota T-IV (it gone about 5 liters in the tranny)
    2) cleaned transmissions oil filter
    3) reset ECU many times,
After resetting ECU it become a normal transmission and changing all 6 gears, but after couple of hours or a day only it again stuck in 4 gears,
I reset ECU by pulling both battery terminals for some time, after reconnecting battery wires car start in first self but its rpm goes up and down for some time then set around 800 to 900rpm is that right way to reset ECU?
Experts please guide me how to manage, I also contacted to Toyota showroom on Rashid minhas road I think it is Toyota western and asked them for reprogramming of ECU but thay said we don't deal in mark X, I don't want to go to local mechanics,
Your help will ne highly appreciated.
    Thanks in advance.

    Salaam bros,
I am back after a long time as I was too busy and paid no attention towards my car, today I gone to a workshop to check my car on diagnostic mechine, its of Launch company and model is X-431,
    It is showing two errors,
    P0761
    P2714
Both are about solenoid "C" and "D".
    what is the problem ?
I am guessing that the technician who did this job himself don't know about these codes, only saying "
    sab theek kar doonga".
Here is a pic of diagnostic tool with error codes.

Please tell me (according to error codes) if there is any problem in some sensor or switch and when we erase faulty data through diagnostic tool, the sensor or switch will start working ?
I think we have to replace it physically or what ?

the errors reported are the main pressure regulator solenoid and the C shift solenoid - the rest also show that the pressure control solenoid is stuck - this usually happens when debris get stuck in its barrel - there are repair kits for these solenoids available in USA but none in Pakistan.

Best get new ones - used ones are a "pray to work" situation.

do not attempt to reset the ECU by removing battery terminals that short cut is not a solution and will pop again with massive issues resulting in totally immobile Mark-X. I know 1 Mark-X vehicle stuck dead waiting for ' transmission repair kit ' since February 2014 at a workshop in Nursery. the very same shop did reset few time before car declined to move when shifted from P to D and stalls to die when revd hard. belongs to owner of a Brand name dealing in Shalwar Kameez / Party outfit. - pre approved repair estimate of 200,000 since Feb 2014 and not fixed till last week.

So you are saying that changing battery would make car useless? definately one has to remove the battery and ecu gets reset not sure if toyotas have different scheme than Hondas. Hondas do reset

when changing batteries of these new fangled cars - you are supposed to backfeed the system with a booster pack - if your car has drained all its battery power it may require a full recalibration procedure, like EPS, power windows, sunroof, A/C unit, throttle motor, transmission run and emmissions readiness.

YES specially when there are several error codes stored into the ECU disconnecting battery either to replace or reset the ECu will render your vehicle useless. For Battery replacement a power pack is rigged before disconnecting main battery.

Its funny how people who are repairing such cars still are doing the battery terminal removal procedure and then have no clue how to reinitiate.

Went to a workshop and litrally we had loud conversation when mechanic refused to adjust tappet on company specs as i forced him to do. Said "Bahi ge we do it all day, all efi cars are .1 on intake and .25 on exhaust"............ but eventually he had to adjust according to my settings as i was paying.......

Recently a guy came to me because i had an add for F23A ECU for automatic transmission. Came to me with his accord not shifting to d4. I told him get your solenoid valves checked first but he insisted that my mechanic said ecu needs to be replaced.......... i tried to convince him for 10 minutes and eventually he placed the ecu and it was not the problem

interesting - Now all is required that we show him a Ducati desmodromic valve train - it has no valve springs and the tappet gaps are set to 0.0mm

(lets see him find a 0.0mm feeler) - too loose and the valve clatter is deafening, too tight and the cylinder compression goes to zero.

Its EFI and 4 valve/cyl too.

btw - trans not shifting to D4 is usually 2 cases

1 shift cable is not correct
2 engine is not warmed up.
3 sticky solenoid (D4 lamp flashes)

    you are screwed case is

    shot clutch pack
bad regulator valve in pressure control valve body.

@Xulfiqar seen that valve train now.......... one word .... amazing.........

I have another question that how can we find distributor oring? i dont want to remove my dizzy and then keep searching for its ring. Its leaking oil from the gap between tappet cover and dizzy. Cap from inside is dry is suppose.

second thing what things should be done in toyota corolla 2009 tuning? the one with electronic throttle i suppose it does not require valve clearence adjustments

I have set a ducati valve train once - and needed help from a pro (too damn fiddly to work) - but its made like a watch and does not suffer from valve float, very expensive to produce.

anyway - the ring is not that hard to purchase, I used to have a big case of O rings in which its replacement was already there - dont remember the size - but you can google it - its a metric sized ring. - buy 4 or 5 of them - it leaks anytime you move the distributor.

The toyota corolla does require valve clearance adjustment at approximately 100,000 kms - its expensive because you need to buy new correct sized tappet buckets to adjust the gap.
