nearly 90% of the Toyota crowns you mention in Pakistan have had their bodies changed to the later models, Their parts are very expensive if you wish to service them with brand new items (more than Mercedes Benz S class prices).

If you are looking for a body swapped crown and want a sort of engine swap (as in build a car) then either get a very trained workshop to maintain it (deep pockets) or you should be very well versed in its repairs with your own hands.

Buying an original model body on frame Crown with everything working like it should is a bit fiddly and expensive business but they are pretty nice cars. The late 90s and above are unibody ones and their prices are pretty steep as Ive heard.

For economy? what are you calling economy when you will be having a big heavy sedan?

owning a car is not just haail badlee, birake and sarviss phir deezal isspray.

Its more than that, inquire the prices and availability of genuine repair parts and also other parts you may need like interior items.

provided one can maintain it....its a a nice sedan, more then decent in its category apart from offcourse mercedes tank shape

rest it seems easy to buy a vehicle...but one you buy it, and you go through the first spree of repairs and maintainance that is (oil change, oil filter change, air filter change, gear oil checked/changed, steering oil checked/changed, other minor engine repairs, killing body and engine noises, minor works on interior, then getting it all cleaned, checking tires/rims) ...damn its gona cost you almost a fortune plus the fatigue of parts and labor
this is when one realise that now il either sell it or use as third car...so then there is no point of buying such a vehicle

and if you can afford it...then whats better ...almost nothing..go for it
drug-s3x-money .....be careful: this is the kind of obsession that can render you utterly useless
