    2UZ-FE, 4.7l (4663cc) V8 from the cruiser/LX470 in basic trim (240hp & 315ft/lbs torque), also available in VVTi and electronic throttle control in the 2004 US moels of the surf/4runner and GX470.

    However if you can find a 3UZ-FE 4.3L V8 with 290-300hp from the lexus 430 cars you'll be happier with the performance, and since it's from a car it'll be a lighter block than the 2UZ-FE.

    however the 2UZ-FE SHOULD fit the crowns engine bay but will be extremely heavy and you'll need ot strengthen the front end and fit much stiffer suspension (and possibly some weight in the rear to balance out the car).

    Any idea how much it would cost,and should i go for this project over the Vitz one(Vitz is like 700kg lighter than this,hmmm)?what do u estimate 0-100km/h time 1/4 mile time to be after this swap in Crown,Crown weighs abt 1620kg. And yeah the Crown i'm talking abt buying already has a 2jz-ge in it.

    hmmm,For weight in the back,i'll put a heavy CNG kit in it :d

    again i'm not too good with engine prices but i do know that the V8 2UZ-FE shoudln't be too expensive since it is not a high demand engine (most people want a diesel 4.2L)

    depending on gearing i'll say 0-62mph in around 6 seconds since there is alot of weight to be moved (and that is pretty fast for a car over here) not sure about 1/4 mile times but it shoudl be close to the times of the LS430 since the power to weight ratio is about the same.

    if you already have a 2JZ-GE in it (approx 230hp) why not go for a twin turbo stup from a supra (2JZ-GTE) using CT12B (ceraminc) turbines or for more power go for the CT20A Stainess steel ones. I should point out that you'll need forger pistons and connecting rods as well as possibly having to change your valve springs for slightly harder ones (all parts can be sourced from a stripped GTE engine)

    You'd have to increase fueling for the TT aplication and woudl need approx 500cc/min injectors and an intercooler.

    All in all you'd achieve approx 280-320hp and still have your original engine in the car (better weight distribution when compared to a V8 swap, but the sound of a V8 is something else!

    as for the CNG,... ROTFLMAO!!

    hmmm,that's a good idea but it'll cost alot & turbos r a big headache and need to be looked after alot.i think IF I buy this thing(and drop the Vitz project) i'll probably mod the 2jz-ge with NA mods if the 2uz-fe is too expensive.And I agree,the sound of a V8 is something else(and the fuel consumption also :d).It also has that muscle car feel to it .Wish me luck.

    You planning on converting one you have or buying one and THEN converting? The UZS17x Crowns came with the 1UZ although i'd second what Storm said, although a great swap but if you wanna save yourself the hassle, just force feed the 2JZ-GE. Equally good Hp.

    First of all I would like to thank you for replying .Well fli bhai I haven't bought it yet cuz I was considering a Vitz 1st but then I came across this Crown and thought abt swapping a V8 in it.And abt forced induction,I want to have NA power + I always wanted that muscle car feel and sound of a V8,but I'm still thinking if i should buy it or not or go for a Vitz and put a bigger engine in it.(cuz it won't sell off easily afterwards as it has no resale value)So what do U say?Is it worth all this trouble and will i have a Gem of a car after all this or just a useless piece of junk?

    though the vitz will be faster of the lne etc the crown will be safer and much cooler with a V8 powerplant,.. i say go for the V8 and have a laugh!

    go for the crown.and get the 1uzfe and dont be afraid to cng it.lots of power lots of torque and gr8 fuel economy.and a stock 1uzfe v8 will give u around 8 km/l.
    Dazed and confused.
