    The purpose of this thread is to discuss and share views regarding Daihatsu boon/Toyota passo and to provide a common platform for the owners and potential buyers to discuss the car.
    Passo/Boon has become quite popular in the last 2 or 3 months. People are getting curious to know about this car which offers better features than the overpriced 1000cc vitz in a better price tag. The purpose of the club would be to share technical / operational information regarding the car. As well as help fellow members with different issues regarding the everyday running of the car. Realistic advices on prices regarding the condition and model of car will be provided.

    mere pass passo 2012 model hai mujeh fuel ke bare main janana tha ke main sirf high octane use karoon ya high octane ke sath super mix kar ke use karoon (high octane kitne percent aur super kitne percent). agar sirf high octane use karoon tau us ka koi nuksan tau nai engine per. jin bhaion ki 2011 se onward passo ki achi fuel consuption hai mujeh suggest karian , aur baki expert advice bi de sakte hain thanks in advance

    Better avoid such thing new engine is not possible in 20k the scrapyard engine are big risk and you never know how good they are you might end up repairing the same fault in that engine

    Hello people
    I am seriously considering buying my first jdm. I. E. Passo (1st gen 2005-09)along with second options like mira & move. I have a few questions i wanted to ask and clear my mind out.
    - fuel average (tank size), common problems, maintenance cost & parts availability.
    - difference in packages of passo e.g x package, x l package (feature wise and price difference). Which is the best among them.
    - price in psh/rwp/isb region (lahore only if the prices are low)

    1KRFE Engine has compression ratio of 10.5:1 hence required minimum 90 RON Petrol,

    whereas regular petrol has 87 RON & HOBC has 97 RON in Pakistan (

    so there is no harm in using the HOBC in the Passo having 1KRFE engine as the higher the RON the higher the ability to compress and avoid detonation.
    also the ECU controls the knocking with the help of Knock sensor and adjust the combustion timing accordingly.

    if the knocking is audible to driver then you must at first change your fuel to HOBC and if the problem persists get it checked by some reliable mechanic.

    main aap ke point se thora satisfy hooa hon lakin carbon deposit koi kehta hai hota hai koi kehta hai nai hota kal main passo ka manual parh raha tha us main petrol ka likha hooa tha "Regular unleaded gasoline" lakin 1krfe jo japnese regular pertrol hota hai us ka Ron kia hota hai may be woh pakistani 87 Ron se high ho .

    Compression ratio isn't the key for octane selection you would have seen that if some one raise compression ratio of engine they shift to colder plug to decrease combustion temperature 1krfe has a egr to reduce combustion temperature using hi octane would result in thick black carbon making its way to combustion camber through egr and carbon on combustion chamber means higher combustion temperature in simple word you would be making your engine hi octane addticed

    main ne aaj thori bohat research ki manual main likha hai Regular unleaded gasoline aur japan main regular RON 90 hai aur pakistan main 87 . ab japanese RON ke mutabik karne ke lie kia octane tau milia ja sakta hai na kiyun ke 3 digits ka farak hai abhi bi thora bohat use karne se tau carbon deposit nai ho ga na means 20 to 30 percent use karne se?

    I have used a car in pak which manual say to use 91 Ron fuel and I had hotter plugs installed my car (k16pru-11 instead of k20pru-u11) never heard a single knocking sound if you are facing knocking issue use than use hioctane other wise no harm in using normal fuel

    main is ko check karon ga ke iradium ka hai ya copper ka waise meri car 30000 tak chali hai . yeh dono plugs irdium ya copper dono series (k16pru-11 or k20pru-u11) main mil sakta hai waise pakistan main kon sa use hota hai zida tar aur meri gadi main kon se code wala laga hai tau pata kaise chale ga agar main toyota workshop le jaon tau woh dekh sakte hain yeh cheez. waise k16pru-11 use karne ki zaroorat hai ke nai kiyun ke yeh tau knocking ke chances hote hain . thanks bro itni info ke lie mujeh tau kuch pata nai tha meri info main izafa karne ke lie bohat bohat shukria.
