Default Toyota Passo/Daihatsu Boon Owners/Fan Club

The purpose of this thread is to discuss and share views regarding Daihatsu boon/Toyota passo and to provide a common platform for the owners and potential buyers to discuss the car.
Passo/Boon has become quite popular in the last 2 or 3 months. People are getting curious to know about this car which offers better features than the overpriced 1000cc vitz in a better price tag. The purpose of the club would be to share technical / operational information regarding the car. As well as help fellow members with different issues regarding the everyday running of the car. Realistic advices on prices regarding the condition and model of car will be provided.

how stupid is this by the way ? has someone tried just to keep the fuel lid open for a minute or so and then close it and then start the car. or is putting fuel in is necesary. for fuel worth 500, it doesnt. on 1000, it does so i was thinking maybe its to do with the time duration for which the lid remains open

In my previous Passo 2007, it can be reset anytime by long pressing button.

Now I have Passo 2011, and it only resets itself after filling petrol.
But there is something behind this, like when i get the tank topped up (from half or less) to full or 7 points, then it resets itself automatically, but if i am at 6th or 7th point and get the tank full, then it does not reset.

But my cousin has Passo 2013 (simple non-hana, non-smart key version), it has a possibility of reset by pressing the button (same as Passo 2007)

So i guess in some years of new shape, maybe from 2010 to 2011/12, it resets automatically upon refill, and then after 2013 models, they started to give this option of manual reset again.

or there might be a possibility that the cars whose meters/mileage are modified lost this manual reset feature, just a guess

about that Rattling sound of passo from front suspension of driver side.

many owners said that it is inherited problem of passo, it is in nearly in all of passos new and old models.

mine has too (2010), just wanted to confirm that did any one found any solution for it ?

i have get my passo checked the day i bought it from mechanic and alignment expert. everything was graded in A1 condition and no work required.

later on, on very bad roads or bumps i felt that rattling sound like there is problem with cars steering assembly or anything in suspension.

i went again to alignment person and told him to check again. he checked and told me that suspension or steering has no play or sound, may be the steering cross is loss. so i get it checked from mechanic and he said that it is ok. he suggested me to get the steering ends pressed (or change) although he is not 100% sure that it will solve the problem.

    so what should i do?

or leave it as it is.....

    Here is my experience:
I was told by the alignment guy that this has to do with Caliper pins, they become a bit loose. Caliper pins and their housings are repaired on new ones are placed by kharadia. You have to get the calipers opened by mechanic who will then send the calipers to kharadia. Mechanic asked me for pkr500 labor and about the same would be charged by kharadia. I decided to live with the noise for now. The process will take about 3-4 hours and also I am not very sure that this will actually resolve the problem.

AoA all, I am going to buy a Passo X package in the near future. At first, I was gonna buy an accidental aqua or prius but then someone suggested me this beauty!
I have seen one today at modern motors dha main boulevard. Its only 7300km driven and totally genuine with verified auction sheet.
The main purpose of this post was just to ask that if Passo is capable of that so-called 'maar dhaar'? And does it has the same suspensions as the vitz.
The one i have seen is 2013 model and I have finalized the deal, just waiting for bank's approval of leasing.
