Default Toyota Passo/Daihatsu Boon Owners/Fan Club

The purpose of this thread is to discuss and share views regarding Daihatsu boon/Toyota passo and to provide a common platform for the owners and potential buyers to discuss the car.
Passo/Boon has become quite popular in the last 2 or 3 months. People are getting curious to know about this car which offers better features than the overpriced 1000cc vitz in a better price tag. The purpose of the club would be to share technical / operational information regarding the car. As well as help fellow members with different issues regarding the everyday running of the car. Realistic advices on prices regarding the condition and model of car will be provided.

Let me tell u what i paid for bearing change,

1 bearing=1800( not genuine but nsk japan)
    Bearing change=800
    Mechanic labour=1500

And after that a weird sound satrted coming when brakes were applied, i changed 3 pairs of brake shoes but still the noise was there, then i got the hubs opened and found out that they were damaged, then bought kabuli hubs and Allah ka shukar hai the sound was gone, 3 din ki khuwari and wasted almost 15000+ due to the mechanics

With all these troubles and big expenses on small parts like bearing and all, do the owners of PASSO/BOON still think that it is worth buying USED JAPANese cars ??

Asim bhai, i never faced problem with any JDM (CL9). Few days back another CL9 (in our office) had some problem in its Self, the mechanic arranged and fixed that. If you have any good mechanic then there is no problem. Even sometimes you will see people searching for genuine parts of PKDM.

All passo owners who have low mileage problem I suggest they shud go for tuning which includes throttle cleaning, ultrasonic fuel injector cleaning and testing, new plugs, new air filter. I had same problem. My passo used to give 10.5-11 km/l with 60-70% a/c. Now it gives 14.5/15 km/l with 60-70% a/c
