    Default Passo hiting speadbreakers

i am a novoice when it comes to car thing, i just bought toyota passo but thing is it's body touching ground on some spead breakers (ugly ones)even when only me is driving , and when 2-3 ppl sit its touching ground on most heavy bumps (middle of car area beneath the doors)

i have read here that spacer , springs etc the techie terms

i want a solution to raise the car for Karachi roads but don't want the jump comfort to be effected

what u guys recommend, get alloy rims with big tyre , will that do the magic , if yes what size is best suited and approxx cost

or you guys recommend some other thing, pls advice me the best possible option so that i can drive tention free even with 2-3 ppl sitting in back

thanks in advance for the help coming my way

    regards

    Talking No worries!!

I own a Civic 95, stock suspension and CNG and my car rubs over almost every speed breaker in every city. I just reduce my speed and zig zag over almost all bumps. Don't have spacers and don't intend to install any. I have learnt to live with it but drive carefully over all humps and bumps. Checked the bottom of my car once it was being serviced and found no damage underneath. I guess the noise is more than the damage being inflicted.

So relax and just drive slow over the bumps!

you people are so concerned for a speed breaker

i have seen people driving at 100+ speed over jumps like for example on kashmir highway bridge near g11 side, car literally was in air, people just speed away from there,i wonder they dont care?

you can't have best of all worlds, a compromise is needed some where be it suspension or transmission or a dented car floor - pick your choice and dont regret.

Same case with my car! But luckily the rear springs of Charade fits perfect for my car! After installing new springs my ride height is increased and no more speed breaker issue now!

A friend of mine is using 2 Inches high Spacers in Passo 2008 from last 03 years, no abnormalities up-till now except a little decrease in ride comfort .

So i am still in two minds, whether to go for it or not ?

Do you think Passo suspension will cope up with spacers without much damage ?

i guess the solution is to get new spacers as well as new rims/tyres. 1 inch spacers along with 175/65/R14 wheels will solve most of your problem

Its been more than 3 years that passo is with me. Never faced any problem, no work so far, neither in suspension nor in engine.
