Default Need Help...Oil for Toyota Passo (2010)

    Assalam-O-Alaikum dear Pakwheelers.

Alhamdulillah by the grace of Almighty just purchased the new shape toyota passo ECO model. I am still unsure what is the engine oil capacity? 3L r 4L?

Secondly, has anyone tried Kixx Gs Oil 10W-40?

Your help will be much appreciated!

    Jazak Allah!

I have passo 2008 and running as smooth as silk because of my perfect choice about the oils. Within city average is 14 and motorway its 17.5
Oil capacity is 3.5L You have to buy 4L and keep 0.5L save with you.

Kixx G1 10/40 is good. But DON’T USE IT because its semi synthetic.
To have ultimate performance, choose fully synthetic oil. And presently my recommendations for best available oils are

LM 5/40 grade oil name is "SYNTHOIL HI-TECH". PART NO. 2194. bottle is deep Purple color. Price 4800/4L. interval 8~10K

Kixx PAO (Group iv synthetic) 5/40. Green Color Tin. Prices ~3600/4L. interval 8K

PTT Performa Super Synthetic 0/40. Price ~ 3800/4l. interval 8~10K

PTT Performa fully Synthetic 5/40. Price ~ 3200/4l. interval 7~8K

    Zic XQ 5/40. Price ~ 3600/4l. interval 8~10K

More than Engine oil, the transmission oil is important. It will take 4L transmission oil.
For better performance, buy LM's CVT oil which is THE BEST. Price 1800/L. Interval 80K

    Or you can buy

    TOYOTA CVT FLUID TC, 4L
    Category: Transmission Fluid.
Product Name: TOYOTA CVT FLUID TC
    Part No: 08886-02105
    Type: fully-synthetic
    Manufacturer: Exxon Mobil Japan
    Volume: 4L
    Interval: 40~50K
    Price: 4800/4L

Tip: for better performance, change the both filters after every 4K.

Thank you very much for the useful reply. I will go for fully synthetic oil rather than semi-synthetic.

One more thing i would like to highlight here is with very slight pedal pressure (engine running at about 1200 rpm) the engine seems to vibrate a bit when loaded up at this low speed. Is this normal ?? I've asked several people and they said it is a normal CVT behavior!!

if this vibration causing little extra inconvenience while driving, then have it checked from some good workshop. Perhaps some mont, but let the workshop people diagnose it.

For your car ill recommend 10w40 mobil 1 ,, will cost you 750/litre .. use OEM filter with it and you are good to go for 6000km change interval for both things ... If not mobil 1 then Use LM 10w40 .... good luck

Yet, there is no particular workshop for these jdms. Only Toyota shops.
However, if find some mechanical shop, then do share here as well so that others (including me) can know too.

    Thanks for remembering me.
After doing some research I found a good and reliable Mechanic which understands JDMs including PASSO very well. Thanks to @ahmad_yar Bhai for recommending him to me.
Mr Usman is an incharge mechanic in FAST LUBE on main Defence Road (just before Aadil Hospital). Mr Adnan (03214523190) is FAST LUBE incharge.
IA TRADING on Walton Road (just opposite to Toyota Motors) is the place from where we can buy original parts of PASSO and other JDMs.
    Thanks.
