Default Best Engine Oil for Passo

some says stay away from Caltex Havoline oil, some says always use Caltex Havoline oil. What is correct for Passo. And those says stay away from Clatex oil are they belong or support to some other company. Please guide correctly & sincerely.

first of all know which SPECIFICATION of engine oil your car needs. (the spec as Toyota recommends).
after you know the above...then search for appropriate brand.

Technically this oil (10/30) is neither good nor recommneded by company for the engine 1KR-FE (Passo have the same).

brother I m also from township, township dealer havnt OBDII scanner, Visit Toyota Airport motor they have Scanner as I checked from there 2 times, if ur car is touching 10kmpl average then dont do any thing and dont waste your money because your car is 4wd and its normal average... my 2wd giving me 12 to 13 in city and its acceptable as many people blamming passo is giving 8, 9..

Open your bonnet and look the sticker on inner side of bonnet...they written 0w-20 and 5w-30... if car is brand new zero meter then recommended grade is 0w-20 and cars above 30k 40k recommended grade is little thick 5w-30...brother keep in mind these car are drived 80k plus or some crossed one lakh...but u always got 40 50k reading on odo meter when you purchased a 2010 model..
never use 0w as this is too much thin only for brand new car when part are new but with time part are wear and gaps created so over years you need think oil so bro maximum recomended grade for 1kr-Fe engine is 10w-30...

Well I guess the quality of fuel always play a major role in the life of Engine oils. Here in PK the fuel is going on better side but yet we need years to receive European or American standards. But once we have good quality fuel here, then am sure we would able to use lowest viscose oils for longer times of vehicle life.

Do you have a 1kr-fe manual from manufacturer which says that 10w30 is the max. Recommended oil?
