Default Installing CNG in Passo 2007 :D

    Hello guys,
After a lot of thinking, I have finally made up my mind of installing CNG kit in my Passo.
I know a lot of people would stop me from doing so because of various reasons but they all are justifiable.
The only thing that matters now is if it is feasible to install CNG in Passo 2007?

I need your input. I want to take this roller coaster ride. Just guide me and trust me this thread will be experience thread that would guide other pak wheel fellows to either go for CNG or not.

So far I have made up mind as
    - I ll be installing CNG kit from CNG kit zone on Jamshed road in Karachi which I have heard is best?
    - Lambda kit: As I have heard that automatic cars run best on this kit.
    - Spark Iridium plugs. Don't know much but a lot of people had good pick with using these.

The reason I have opted for CNG is that I drive my car over 50 km daily. My car gives 13km/l averagely because the roads in Karachi actually sucks due to traffic. I am a internee and I can't shell out 400rs each day for travel alone. I know I can go for Pakistani cars but I hate them. Besides I have seen lots of Passo in CNG queues that have had CNG kits. Besides I have heard that CNG works great in non cvt simple auto cars.

UPDATE: Finally got myself CNG installed in my Passo from CNG kit Zone. Have driven 12 km for now. Very exhausted now, will test drive more in the morning tomorrow. Anything in particular would you like to add in my test drive so that I could test it extensively?

    Here are the CNG specs:
Landi Rezo CNG kit with Lambda
    Neutec Advancer and emulator
    KEC Cylinder
    Advancer

I was charged 59k for the complete setup.

Consider LPG first. Out weigh the benefits and cons of CNG and LPG. I am not sure in CNG has a future...
Turbo lag is like foreplay. You know it's coming. And it's gonna be good.

I doubt that I would be able to find LPG filling shops as easy as CNG and this thread is exclusive to CNG and I have already made my mind. I just need to know any tips or considerations before I jump in

Get the best kit and a Lambda kit. Good luck in your pursuit

Best kit? LandiRenzo? Any comment on the price. I need detailed answer. Thanks
Besides the nature of job requires me to wake 4 in the morning. I can get CNG filled in matter of 10 minutes. So that's not the issue

That is the automatic one or manual? Which kit and from where you got it installed?

I would prefer Landi Renzo. It's an Italian brand and they know what they are doing.
Kit zone seems good- another person has installed Lambda Kit(costs 14,000).

    You will need;
    Landi Renzo CNG kit
    Advancer
    Emulator
Lambda( costs 14000 and it helps in increasing mileage and decreases jerks etc.)

Do contact Landi Renzo for latest prices 021-32550031 or you can pay Kit zone a visit as well.

    "Assalam o alikum brother,

well i also made this thread and no-one bother to reply so i head towards getting Lambda installed

i had that old cng installed in my altis, and literally car used to be pathetic on it.. car used to give jerk on gear shifting.. and performance was not up to the mark

i took my car to CNG kit zone and get installed the lambda system.. and now performance gear shifting is seriously amazing

cost of lambda system is 14k from kit zone and i will recommend u to get it installed from there! highly qualified people work there and 100% satisfaction guranteed!
    go for it!".

"in karachi price of new kit landirenzo with 60 litre clylinder is for 47k". This post was from Sep.'13. You can always get a used kit. Just get it inspected properly.

Agreed here - with the uncertainty of CNG's future in general, besides the anti-cng stance of the govt (reducing the petrol/cng parity due to dunda from IMF), I'm hoping the poster here has done adequate research.

It would be beneficial to see a thorough analysis of the breakeven period (years/KM's required) to pay for the 40K+ invested, after which the owner will finally reap the benefits of cost saving achieved on CNG. This is assuming that Petrol/CNG parity stays the same and the govt doesn't decide to narrow this down further.

    Best of luck.

But I think you are not getting me. The condition in karachi is not that worse. We can get CNG filled in half hour in most days. Regarding the pricing is concerned, if I am driving the car for 40 km per day, cng will easily give payback in 9 months.
