    Exclamation Toyotal Passo smoke problem.

    Salam all,
I have Passo 2007. It was in perfect working condition till last weekend. I drove from Isb to Mansehra with no issues at all. Its on Patrol, never installed CNG.
Then on Saturday, my cousin borrowed the car and when he came back in the car was not working properly. It was shaky and it wasn't accelerating at all. when i tried in Neutral gear, it took race after shaky & vibrational start. but i couldn't get it to accelerate.
Next morning, i took it to mechanic. he look at the the engine and then told me one of the cylinders is not working. and i should get it checked from computerized tune up shop. i went to one, he checked and told me one of the injectors (the middle one among three) was clogged. He cleaned it with some carbon removing spray and installed it back.
Now, the car still shaky and no acceleration too, it starts blowing heavy white smoke from the exhaust tip. When i asked "Ustad" why is it blowing smoke now? he replied that because of clogged injector, the cylinder didn't had any fuel. now it got the fuel so now its gonna smoke. To fix it, i should fuel up my car 15liters of patrol and then put engine oil of PKR 50 in the fuel tank and then drive around at high RPMs. it will fix the problem. I didn't do it. I really didn't buy his whole story and the solution. so i came back to the first mechanic. He then changed the coil of second cylinder to the coil of first cylinder and everything settled down. car is accelerating normally, everything back to normal.
But i am worried about the white smoke. Its not there at lower RPMs but when i try the higher RPMs, its blowing white smoke. Mechanic says, its because of the liquid which the guy used to cleanup the injector and the car will go back to normal in few days. It will stop blowing smoke.
Is it right? Should i leave it as it is now? won't that harm engine or anything? or should i replace the injector?
Please help me figure out a solution. or suggest me a good mechanic/workshop/tuneup in Isb who really knows about these cars.
Did any of you ever had this issue with Passo?

P.S: there was no issue at all with car engine before the weekend. No engine oil decrease, no smoke, no pick problem. Infact, it was in water dropping condition.

UPDATE: After initial fix, car was giving me the problem again. At idle, car's RPM was dropping dead low. Engine was shutting off at low speeds. I took it to Toyota Abbottabad Motors. Turns out, one injector was clogged. Only two pistons were working and thats why it was emitting smoke. As they didn't have the new injector, he cleaned up the clogged one. Put it back in, and all was fine. No smoke emissions, and no RPM drops. Back to normal. He asked me to bring the car for a day, its fuel tank is to be cleaned and also the fuel filters. Once done, i should put in Toyota genuine injector cleaner fluid in the full fuel tank and it will be fine.

So, now i am gonna buy injector and replace the one which was cleaned.
Other local mechanic told me that engine is all gone, and i need to change the assembly. Tomorrow i am going to giving him some piece of advice myself.

Any how, thankyou all for the support and your knowledge.
All fine now for the moment

I dont know if its related to your problem or not but i have seen three different vitz with white smoke at high RPMs
(no oil reduction). I have not tried to rev other vitz hard which i have come across. The cars with no acceleration issue and no engine check light nothing but when you rev them hard they emit smoke. I dont know is this an issue or is it normal working.

The engine is same in a vitz and passo

I think its the same case here. No engine check light is on, and no reduction in engine oil but still there is white smoke.
But i 've never noticed this smoke before this terrible weekend.

sometime oil gets on the injectors when changing or reinstalling them which causes white smoke, i don't know what mixture the mechanic applied to clean the injector, it should go after driving hard for a while over a long distance, short trips or idling probably wound clear it, or check if the injector was properly fitted and no oil is leaking past it, keep a eye on the oil level, don't worry too much

use ultrasonics for injector cleaning.for white smoke,it could be bad valve seals, piston rings or a blown headgasket

the first question should be u should ask your cousin what he did to the car? aisay what did he do that this problem started! then start diagnosing from there! im sure ur cousin must have done something or something did happen and ur cousin ignored it and remained driving!

    Hi Azam,
    Thank you for the reply.
He bought carbon cleaner spray bottle of Rs. 200/- for cleaning the injector.
Hope that smoke will go away on my next trip to Isb on coming weekend.

    Hi umar,
I will check about ultrasonic option in Isb for injector cleaning.
If gasket, pistons rings or seals are problematic then it coolant level, engine oil level etc should decrease (as far as my knowledge goes).
Not any such thing is happening here.

    Hi Aamir
This is what i exactly did actually. But he is not admitting to anything although i told him that i need this information just to troubleshoot my problem. But he sticks to his story that it was all fine and he did nothing.
So, can't get much out of him.
