    Default JDM Time - Passo 2012

    @hash4u and @DrUsmanNawaz

    My observation for car AC:

    It works mire than perfect on long routes, but during traffic congestions its just OK.

    Is that coz of small condenser and radiator or due to current load causing switching compressor ON and OFF.

    If voltage stabiliser be installed, would it make a difference???

    @Ocean
    I believe thats the way it is (sadly).... as my car is used 95% for short trips only.
    Compressor trips more if v set it at lower fan speed b.t.w
    Fiddling not recommended (until AC unit asking for servicing for any sort )
    Life is short and very unpredictable just like a Quarter mile .....

    Never ever experienced this in my 3rd gen nor second vitz..the ac is fantastic in city or highway...the ac tripping might due to loss of of power....get your cars properly inspected.

    @hash4u @DrUsmanNawaz

    I am talking about installation of voltage stabiliser as per below thread as i don't want to fiddle with AC as well.
    But i have observed that AC is not up to the mark when v are pushing breaks to much in the rush. Means power is not stable and same is evident from RMP of Air Con blower. Thus thinking of that Voltage stabiliser as stated the the copied thread. Please share your thoughts

    Have you tried driving in rush, like muree road where car has to stand still for few minutes etc ? And still AC works perfectly fine?

    Whenever Air is crossing through condenser and radiator there is no problem at all, but in extreme sunlight and temperature and in rush we are experiencing the issue

    These engines are meant to save fuel.... So these trip the AC soon in hot weather... Try to drive with eco mode off and check if there is any difference....

    Bro I have just sold my second gen vitz it was almost 200k driven...it was 90% driven in city in heavy traffic congestion...never it did its Ac give up and was 100% chilling.

    Same case is with my 3rd gen vitz...now it's driven in Lahore traffic in scorching heat...never ever did its ac give up...I just love how vitz picks up cooling even after standing in direct sunlight for hours. Vitz mai Ac trip honay ka scene hi nahi hai.

    I have no idea about passo that whether it has same Ac or condenser. I was just sharing my experience.

    P.s I am not here to discourage any passo owner. I just commented because vitz and passo have same engine.

    Thanks for the detailed feedback, and i agree driving at Lahore is much more intense with respect to Rawalpindi/Isb.

    Was that 1.3 litres or 1.0 litres Vitz? And one more thing if possible for you, can you check the size of condenser and radiator in Vitz? Is it full length front ? As in Passo its smaller in size i.e almost half length.

    If condenser and Radiator is same in both cars then i think Passo needs Voltage stabiliser.

    Ps: thanks for the help, and i can understand and appreciate your comments, healthy discussion is always helpful

    Drove with the eco mode off, but no improvement during the day time.

    As a first step: i cleaned AC air filter, which was bit chocked.

    2nd Step: i will get the Engine/AC belt tight as it is making bit noise in the morning only so that can be the issue.

    After cleaning filter i will experience car AC performance tomorrow morning and will share here.

    I have also not heard any AC complaints from vitz owners. However AC behavior for Passo is a little different from vitz even though its claimed to have the same engine etc as vitz. maybe passo has slightly different ac setup as compared to vitz
