Brother your rims were Chinese that are broad in diameter.... Japanese rims are narrow so tires don't swell too much... And don't touch the inner of car...

My o My brother: what a co-incidence, i was looking for tyres foe my passoo as well from last 2-3 days, but unfortunately didn't checked the group. Congrats on the purchase.

Originally it was 13 RIM installed, i changed it to 14 now

    Checked Yokohama Ecose 13 RIM for 5200, Toyo 13 5500, Pirelli 14 7200, GT 14 6500

Installed 185/65/14 GT, made in Indonesia March 2016 Manufacturing.

On my way back got fuel tank toped and will see average after changing tyre. Currently getting 12~13 in the city. And tomorrow InshAllah will get the alignment done.

Bought from Unique tyre Islamabad, he had toyo as well but i haven't asked him for the price as according to him toyo is to soft and dont have steel mixed in the thread and is not good for rough roads, but good for suspension on the other hand little bit.
    @hash4u
    Nice purchase

Your alloy rim must be at inner side of your car, i mean not a deep dish rim.

i have 185/70/13 and they never touch anywhere on the car.

Wider tire on a narrow rim is a safety hazard. It fits like /\, they is a reason they specify the allowable range of sizes and the tire wall should remain straight.

No offence dear, but less road grip of narrow tires is also a safety hazard.

    None taken janab :-)

155 m wide tire might be "narrow" for say a civic, for a 1 litre tiny dinky called passo there are many good reasons the engineers who made it came up with that number and exceeding it would lead to more harm then any perceived benefits. Why don't put in snow tires on paved roads for more grip if that is the only concern and nothing else matters :-D

I wonder why my Passo's ac works chillingly well even at temperatures upto 49'c. Is it because of different head design? as it comes with air filter etc that fits Toyota aqua, not the one that fits older Passo/Vitz?

Dear ! We are discussing Passo here, not your loved Civic. Please check Brakes effectiveness at tire size 155/80 and 185/70. Modifications for any requirement is not refusal to skills of manufacturing engineers. One thing might be of less importance to one than to another due to changed conditions.
Please inform me disadvantages of wider tires. I will study and consider those disadvantages while deciding tires next time. Hope you do not get angry this time.

    Question remained unanswered

I also clean the engine without covering. As a general rule we should not excessively use water to help conserve it. Also some parts of the car/engine might be water resistant rather than water proof and may be harmed with excess water.

Hehe I was also discussing passo dear, when u write "say a civic" in angraizi it means just as an example. I have a 1.8 manual nissan (twice the torque then a passo, same weight, bigger dimensions) running on 185's which brakes flawlessly (again as an example, to make understanding the issue easier), so the concept of this dinky facing "braking problems" on the size at which the engineers who made it thought 155's would do great is kinda hilarious to say the least.

I wrote down the disadvantages just a page back, lemme copy them again for your ease :-)

Disadvantages of wider tires, specially in this one.

Reduced fuel average (In a car meant to give exceptional economy)
Reduced acceleration (In a car this is extremely sluggish already)
Screwed steering geometry (Not that its too sharp as stock)
Greater stress on suspension (Not gonna get the same feeling after its redone even with claimed original parts)

    Advantages:

Better road clearance (Since we have car braking humps all around out roads)
Yo look (Look how cool my econo box looks)
Psychological benefits in handling (Any track lap times to gauge them for a passenger vehicle)

In short...... why u do this :-/

U might wanna read this also, just in case you are looking to understand the issue. Otherwise if you are hell bent on sticking to over sized tires in small rides, you are not alone. Enjoy
