    Default Brake Pads

Brake pads on my Passo 1.0 are almost consumed. From where at Lahore I should look for genuine brake pads (front) and what should be approximate price? Toyota service centres are selling it for Rs.12700/ ad I think from market they should be available in lesser price. Any idea?

Below shops deals in Toyota parts.
The best way is, you know the exact part number. It will be written on the brake pad somewhere. Tell them on phone and get the price.
They have options to supply locally manufactured parts and also they import from Dubai, Japan, etc.

These will not last Long, as these are not Genuine. As for as working is Concern, these pads are working Normal.

Similarly there can be many other pads who can fix to other models. But your post was like giving suggestion that if original brake pads are not available then use Alto's, at which i was bit shock.

non genuine brake pad will eat up the discs as original ones are made up of softer material and originals also produce a bit of brake dust. these along with damaging the discs will also compromise wet performance and can sqeuak in wet conditions.

brakes are one thing where money should not be saved at cost of risk.

    my 2 cents

It was not the case of saving money, but the non-availability of Genuine parts.
    Thanks for your suggestions anyway.

Got my car's rear discs and pads changed earlier this year. Top quality after market were ?170,from dealer price was ?350~.
As the other said its calculated risk,it's half the price but it may run half the millage but I can use that money somewhere else in mean time, brakes are functioning absolutely fine.
