Default Replaced engine on Passo 2009 lowering engine oil level

I got the engine + transmission on my Passo replaced about 4 weeks ago. Reason was: Engine was consuming too much oil and transmission was jerky.

Bad news: The new engine after 4 weeks of usage is also lowering the oil level. The engine+transmission was gotten from Bilal Ganj. Is there something that can be done here?

In general, when people get the engines replaced, how do they ensure the new engine they put in will work fine? I realize I should have asked this question before. Never late to learn.

    Thanks a lot.

There is no way to tell if the junkyard engine at Google work. Did you get an any warranty on the engine

A mechanic I normally visit helped get the engine. I never asked my mechanic if there was a warranty. Called him today and asked if there was a warranty; he says normally it is a few days.

The engine "looked" very good (apparently, it was not). Is there generally a warranty on engines sold at junkyards?

    Thanks.
