as title shown above that i am very confused about 50mm f/1.8 lens how this little lens work so perfectly as compare to big lenses and what are the advantages and disadvantages
50mm is a portrait lens it's quality is to produce nice focus with shallow depth of field..there is a purpose of each lens in photography... The other you mentioned is general purpose lens normally comes with camera body
can we also use 50mm f/1.3 prime lens for zoom image?
50mm f1.8 is the cheapest and best prime lens (fixed focal length) which is affordable and produces stunning images. The 1.8 apperture allows more light into the camera sensor and to make your subject stand out and blur the background. This is mostly used for portraits but still it has some distortions which could be corrected in Post Processing.
18-55mm is know as kit lens. It comes with the cmera body. Can be used in general purpose Photography. Its low light performance is pretty bad due to max apperture of f3.5. Works good in bright day light.

Taken with 50mm f1.8
You can use 50mm f1. 8 in pretty low lights. The factor 1.8 will give you a big aperture a detailed hence it will catch more light and will give you a good picture at a low shutter speed. The 18-55mm can be used for capturing landscape in the daytime..
50mm f1. 8 will work better at night. But you will not be having the zoom in out ability. Try 18-70mm f2. 0,,,you will really feel good
Well,,how much cheap it is??
12000pkr or less.
Hmm... But in photography terms,,, 35mm gives you the view as you can see by your eye. So, I think 50mm will be of no big use,,,
35 mm for full frame. 50mm for APS C sensors.....
Yeah,,,you are right... Can you please tell me,,, is it totally dependant on the camera sensor, to call it either crop or full frame OrDo lenses themselves have the cropped and full frame category as well??
Lenses have the crop category as well. This 50mm f1.8 is a crop sensor lens. Will work on full frame as well with a bit of distortion.
All the Canon L series lenses with Red rings are designed for full frame sensors. And they work gret on crop sensors too.
Are you sure this 50mm is a crop lens?? Isn't it a full frame??
Yes its a crop sensor lens. Works on full frame as well. Google it....
Bro I think you're making a mistake here. The Canon 50mm f/1.8 is for full frame cameras. Of course it works perfectly well on crop bodies too. But Canon lenses for crop frame cameras can't be physically mounted on full frame bodies

It's not necessary that full frame lens will produce great quality on crop sensor bodies ... EFS lens work better on crop sensor bodies
thanks guys one thing more what will be suitable ISO in day and night?? For detailed image with stunning shadow effects
For Day light use minimum iso for less noise in pictures
