I don't know why, but every daewoo racer I sat in had the same plasticy sort of smell. I rarely got that scent from other cars

    Assalam o Alicom,

Today, I drove Toyota Prius 2011 1.8cc S pg for the first time, for the purpose of delivering it to buyer premises. I drove 15km with ODO trip reset, after reaching buyer premises I saw 29km/ltr with ECO Mode ON and without A/c.
I was wondering is it true mileage ? I felt this car sluggish than CNG car, but since it mattered me negligible because I'm Light footed driver in cng and fuel economy vehicle.

Prius Owner please comment regarding the above average and how much average are you getting on your Prius ?

    Thanks!

A question for you Prius owners- Does the AC work on Car's battery? How is the kick between Battery and Petrol?
Turbo lag is like foreplay. You know it's coming. And it's gonna be good.

Of course the AC works on battery, the entire car does, and the switchover from battery to the petrol engine is very gentle.

Comparing Korean tin cans like the Daewoo racer to a global phenomenon like the prius is ridiculous comparison, it's like comparing an anda Shami burger to mcdonalds. Terrible cars - terrible future.

that sounds about right. If you have a light foot, you can consistently get more than 25 km/l. If you drive it like a regular car, it'll still give you 20 km/l or so. The prius does feel sluggish in Eco mode, but that's because you had it in Eco mode which dulls the throttle response. Floor it, even in Eco mode, and you'll leave civics behind.

I have done some research, and PHV is not just about charging the nromal battery. The PHV Prius has a much larger battery, and ill on a full charge of 2 hours give you first 20 Km (max speed 100 km/hr) on Battery alone, with no engine!

Therefore its fuel economy will also be much much better, especially if you do smaller journeys and can plug in to charge at home or office when you get there! The cost of charging will be around 3KW for whole charge according to prius owners on various forums, which at current electric prices would be around 40 Rs. Lets see when they come here, but I would love driving most of the time on Electric only, and having a full tank where the needle doesn't go down unless you go out of city!

That is the mileage with AC i never turn the AC off because there is a misconception about Hybrid Cars ,, A Hybrid running with a Hot cabin will lose battery charge quicker as compared to a car with a cooler cabin .... I went to lahore last week and did the whole trip and back with 5 people onboard 1 full tank........ till now Alhamdolillah it is just saving money and being comfortable ... biggest flaw is RIDE HEIGHT I wish it was just 1 inch higher.......

Always keep the AC on in your Prius. Why? You can notice vents near the edge of the rear seats, it is there to cool down the battery.
Make sure that they are clean from dust and nothing blocking their path.

I am getting a PHV in a months time. 20 K driven 2012 PHV S 4.5/A grade. I have imported for private use but thinking of still moving to a higher trim and 2013 model. Any interested parties are welcome to contact me. Auction sheet can still be confirmed on the net.

What are the things that need to be replaced when buying used prius 2011?

Should i get it detailed from specific detailers or clean polish wax and maintain on my own.

Use premium products and do proper base prep. It will be fun, better and more economical as you will be able to use the products for next time.
