Has anyone flushed the old brake fluid of Prius yet ? Replacing the brake fluid on Prius 2nd Gen / 3rd Gen is not as easy like any other conventional car due to presence of both regenerative braking system and hydraulic system. If anyone has changed the brake fluid of your Prius, kindly suggest me a good workshop in Lahore which have proper computers and diagnostic tools to bleed the old fluid through computer.

And also recommend which brand new brake fluid to opt. The manual recommends DOT 3 Brake Fluid for Prius 2nd Gen.

I would suggest you to go to Toyota Airport. They have trained mechanics for Toyota Prius. Don't take Prius anywhere. Once I was in Toyota Airport, a person came with his second gen Prius with Abs light on permanently. He got his brakes serviced from a third party mechanic and somehow got abs sensor damaged.

Bhai these registration charges are of Lahore? And WHT is refundable?

How's the drive of Alpha? Better then the regular 3rd gen Prius?

You can change it after 15,000 kms even.
But its advisable to follow the oil brand's recommended mileage. And best to change it a little beforehand, to be on the safe side.

Its not half n half, it actually works out at 70% on fuel and 30% on batteries- Don't risk it... change it after 6K max

In Lahore, you can find it from Bilal gunj. But I would advice you don't go for it. They will ruin the suspension of regular Prius. They are made to work with touring suspension Prius.

Please ask about Toyota TechStream software before flushing brakes. Also find attached correct method to Bleed brakes to change oil. And my suggestion is that if its working fine please dont change it, you may regret if the oil is not properly changed, it will give you ton of codes and the braking system with be switched to basic braking with no regen brakeing, VSC and ABS.

Thanks dear for your advice. My car brakes are working perfectly. Changed all fluids of my Prius that's why also thinking of changing the brake oil also as its not advisable to use brake oil more than 3 years as it absorbs moisture.

However I am amazed, there are more than 3000 Prius on road now in Pakistan and Prius forum has reached to 98 pages mark, still nobody cares to change the brake oil ?

According to the document you shared, I am afraid no workshop in Pakistan including Toyota 3S Dealership can bleed the oil from Prius in Pakistan. Sooner or later, everyone will feel the need to change the brake oil as its not a life time usage fluid. Than what will we do ? This will also lead to failure of brake actuators which is the most common problem in 2nd Gen Prius 2004-2009.
