the 12V battery is a regular jump start procedure - just dont make the mistake of trying to jump the HV battery unless you recite kalma-e-shahadat first.

NO - that can damage the transmission too. To coast an automatic gearbox just lift off the accelerator, even a fully hydraulic trans will shift to the highest gear for that speed. The sprags come into action for this purpose. To test - shift to 2 - and you will feel it grab - as if the clutch is let out whilst in gear.

Im going to assume that you didnt write that... ideally the other car should be allowed to run for 15 mins with cables connected, then shut off and the engine started on the dead car.

i meant in normal cars we have here...when we jump start the car,the one that is going to power the dead battery car is running and we asell give race while the other car tries to start
so the thing is i will connect the cables and start the car which is going to power the dead car and let it as it is for like 15 mins...not just go right away with the power button???

the idea is to let the battery gather some charge before you attempt the draw (starter amps). If you try this on a largish car which sucks about 600 cranking amps (like a european diesel) - you will fry your chooha alternator and also may cook your jump cables.

The jump cable clamp design is vital to ensure a good start, the teeth in the regular ones are undersized to pass any respectable amps - what is required is something like a pipe tongs but with flat section faces that can clamp onto the terminals with the most spread. I had such clamps on heavy gauge cables but they got borrowed (and never returned)..

I do this practice on every car - no matter if its a mehran. Wait for 10 mins with the "boost car engine at fast idle" - then start the dead one.

for a big one - I wait 15 or 20 mins - then shutdown the boost car and start the dead car - the risk of frying the alternator regulator is very high. In other countries where you call a tow truck - they either come with a booster pack or have the commercial grade alternator and battery in their truck to provide jump start. - then you part with about USD 100/- to get towed.

i jumped start our khyber a couple of time by keeping my car (alto vxr) engine running..

thank God it didn't burn my car alternator ..
now i'll never try to jump start it with engine running.
