Recommended oil for Prius is 0/20 for the best mileage and best output. Don't feed higher viscose oils like 10/40, 15/40, 20/50, etc.
Presently only Kixx has 0/20 4L tin pack price 2800 and SCI is upto 6K.
If cannot find 0/20, then 0/30 by Kixx Pao1, LM, ZIC ow, etc.
Also read a separate thread "very bad choice of oil for prius" if have time.

My importer has recommended me mobil.
However, from where can i find genuine kixx?
Also, Mobil has 0W 40 and 5W 50. Is any of these suitable?

I personally don't prefer Mobil1 because its being re-packed here in Pak.
And secondly now mobil askari is in the market who are offering the same mileages as of mobil1 and chances are high for the quality to be compromised. IMO.

Using oils with higher Viscosity (The 2nd one) like 40 or 50 are not so fuel efficient. Though it will work fine but not something very ideal for the engine.
My preference would be to suggest you to find 0/20 tin pack by kixx. This is the RIGHTEOUS OIL for Prius for better mileage. Even the results will be better than CNG mileage.

Try reading the owner's manual. It will tell u all about ur car's maintenance.

You can also go to a dealership. The also know what, when n why to put anything in ur car.

0w-20 oil is recommended in Prius 1.8. It enhances performance and is good for sludge control. You can find Kixx on most oil change shops.

If your car is also prius, then the best best oil for it for all year round use is

    ZIC OW 0w-30 Hybrid.

There is already ZIC OW 0w-30 but it was simple.
Now recently they introduced same oil for Hybrid cars. Use it and enjoy the best results.
You can change it after 6~7 K.

Don't feed 40 or 50 weight oils in hybrid cars. These are good & perform well with thinnest oils like 0w-20, 0w-30, 5w-20.

if already using 5w-50, then at-least run it 5~6K at-least.
for next time, you can make choice of ZIC OW Hybrid.

does any one have any idea that what oil toyota dealer ship put in prius?

how much did toyota taglon 5W-50 cost? from where did u get it?

toyota capital already told me not to use 5W-30 in my vitz 1.3. i dont think 0w-30 would be appropriate for prius in pakistan weather conditions.

There lies a wide gap between speculations and reality.
Mechanics don’t have any degree in lubrications. They just advice what they are advised to do from their seniors.
For example, if Indus motor mistakenly import huge quantity of 10w-40 oil, then to sell it they will start marketing from every point of view to use this oil. This is best for Pak. atmostpher. It gives average more than hybrid cars, etc. etc. etc
But once their stock is over and next time they import 5w-30, then they start marketing for the same.
This is how the minds of consumers are make up. (means without logics).

Forget what the dealership is saying, follow the car's manual. They (the dealership) were suggesting me to get 20W50 for my Axio (1NZ-FE)
    while the manual suggested otherwise.
