    Default Prius dashboard help please!!!

    Hey Pakwheelers,

    I had a small question.. I own a 2011 (old shape) Toyota Prius and I recently had an accident.. so I sent it to the workshop for repairs and they did a surprisingly amazing job! (if anyone wants their address or pics to check they can ask) but the only problem is that when I got home I checked the audometer and dashboard and u know how the dash lights dim when u either turn on parking or headlights.. that isn't happening now so does anyone have any solution/advice please feel free to help

    Xulfiqar is right in asking about the auto lights, since most japanese prii have automatic headlights. And you are right in saying that it's built into the indicator stalk with a sensor in the front end of the dash.
    What I guess from the poster is that the lights that dim out once the parking lights are switched on isn't happening.
    There's just one positive signal wire that triggers dimming of all dash lights once the parking lights are switched on... that seems to be the problem here.

    Or may be the lighting system has lost memory due to battery being disconnected.

    I Suggest you try;

    Switch on the parking and readjust the meter illumination level manually.
