Default Synthetic Engine Oil Recommendation for Prius

Guys please advice me regarding the best oil for my 07 Prius. My use is mix (50% city & 50% Highway) on hot climate. Toyota recommends 5w30 with change interval of 5000 km.I have these choices:
    1. ZIQ A+ Fully Synthetic - 5W20
    2. Shell Helix HX7 G - 5W30 (Blue Bottle)
    3. Shell Helix Ultra E - 5W30 (Grey Bottle)
    4. Caltex Hovoline Fully Synthetic - 5W40.

Also recommend me the Oil filter brand to use, price and where to get the genuine oil filter. Many Thanks

All the oils that you have mentionted are really good...use which satisfies your heart out of these...
I would have gone for Shell Helix Ultra...it is slightly superior to the other three...

Thanks for sharing the recommended oil from the Prius Manual. Please advise is it better to go for 5W20 than 5W40, for extreme highway driving and better fuel economy as the viscosity of 5W20 is low but higher temperature rating is also low.

amubeem - the second number, for example, '30' in 5W-30 is NOT a higher temperature rating. It actually represents the flow rate of the oil through a standard orifice, at a standard temperature (usually 100'C).

    So a 30 will slow quicker than a 40, and a 40 will flow quicker than a 50 or 60.

The mentioned temperature rating is from -29 degrees to 36 degrees. Would you recommend Ziq A+ 5W20 or Shell Helix Ultra 5w30 for Highway use and better fuel efficiency.

Out of different brands as i mentioned earlier,if they fall under same category them go for one that satisfies ....All of the mentioned motor oils are of SN grade..execpt for Shell Helix HX7 G which is SM..HX 7 E is SN though....
Havoline Fully synthetic is not being officially marketed in Pakistan...Would never recomend to go for anything that is not being officially marketed...otherwiswe there are many other good names too...
Choose whichever you like from Zic A+ and Shell Helix Ultra...both are SN, and being officially marketed in Pakistan...and fall roughly under same Category...

Its better to stick to recommended 5W30 for Motorway driving in summers than 5W20.
