Go to a toyota dealership and get the oil changed. They will definitely know what to put in your car. Their oil is not expensive at all. Its a myth created by oil distributors.

Actually you dont need to put expensive oil it duznt make much difference it all depends on climatic conditions and how much you press the accelerator paddle.

5-30 sai aur behtar kiya chahiyay? hum hoi siberia main to nahi reh rahay keh 0w20 ya 30 use kerain.

on top of that yeh to pata ho ga keh asal total ka oil hai koi doo number nahi hai. that for me is a big pain keh oil doo number ho.

aur btw i poured liqui moly ka behtareen wala oil in my 660cc alto with friction resistance additive ceratec which is best oil additive my moly.

their answer was keh bhai sb akal kerain aur 5000 tuk max oil use kerain aur manufacturer ki hadayat per amal kerain hum per nahi. kiun keh humai nai pata keh ap kai mulk main kia conditions hain aur oil kitna chalay ga.

See this post by me and coordination with moly and reply from @Xufliqar who is a major car expert.

Actually my point was you dont know what they put in your engine. Just purchase an oil that you like and pour it in.
Prius Manual says 0w20. Ab log chahe 5w30 daalen mjhe fark nae parta, their car , their marzi.

And jahan tak liqui moly ki baat hai, its upto you, if you want to wear a china ki jacket ya phir a branded jacket when it gets cold.

And jahan tak "fake" oil ki baat hai, if u do enough digging, you can purchase the right oil.

And its common knowledge that you should be changing your oil after 6 months for better engine health.
and jahan tak interval ki baat hai, you can keep checking your oil after 5k kms . Log 8-10k kms tak chala lete hain oil within 6 months.

For e.g. when i went for oil change this time, the guy said "sir tel saaf hai ap kyu pese zaya kr rahe ho"
After listening to such a statement, alot of people feel reluctant to change their oil if its still good.

My Dear.... does spacing in engine moving parts differ in cold & hot weather ... if answer is NO then thickness & weight of oil does matter... Toyota no where suggest this type of variation according to weather ...... simple reason to use only recommended oil is " engine temperature is maintained through water /air cooled system installed for the purpose"

Max car owners are at the mercy of mechanics who apply their orthodox knowledge on high tech cars .. it's due to car owners lack of correct knowledge about car specs ..

I have Prius 3rd gen. I noticed decline in milage after first oil change which was not 0w20. For the next change I gave my car to Toyota dealers and they too poured 5w50. This time I really want to put the recommended 0W20 or at least 5w30. Please let me know a place near defence / clifton where I can get this grade. In my experience the milage dropped with high viscousity oil.

    Please help. Thanks in advance

No.... not at all..... recommended oil is 0W20 ... it takes appears filter house expert is clue less about prius ... my advise is "please use recommended grade that is 0W-20".. kixx is reasonably a goods oil.. am using kiss oil in my prius 2012 with satisfaction... any ways., 5W40 is to heavy oil for Prius....
