    Default Prius 2007 ABS Problem

    Dear all,
I have a Prius/1500 model 2007 and the mechanic says that ABS has to be changed and need guidance in this regard as the brake system is not working properly. Be guided that the car is not accidented and I have been advised as the lights on the menu are on critical+ abs always ON. Even after computer update checks ABS is still ON.
Appreciate if u advise any good thing

Get the car be scanned from a professional expert and pull the error codes. Mostly the Prius problems are concerned with the calibration.

Doesn't have to be professional. Get the cheap scanner from tmart and get the code yourself. They rip you off for scanning.

I have Prius 2007 done 114k recently I got the abs, brake and (!) Lights on. After scanning I got error code c1343 hydraulic system (RR). Two mechanics recommended to replace ABS pump and another advice is to replace ABS sensor of right rear wheel. Brakes are working perfectly alright, no change in drive. Will appreciate valuable advice from members or any good mechanic in Karachi. Thanks

Cheap scanner cannot do the job, being required. Very first step is to retrieve the code, the second step is to perform the calibration, which can only be performed by a professional technician and the last step is to replace the parts, if required.

    Dear Friend,

You have to get the ABS replaced. No other solution.
