I went on an incredible trip up North. Left Lahore early morning at 5.45 am reaching Islamabad around 9.30 am. Attended a business meeting and left for Nathiagali around 4.00 pm. Reached at 6.30 pm to a very cool weather and light drizzle. Stayed overnight in a neat Cottage and left for Abbotabad the next day bright and early. Stopped in Balakaot for lunch and reached Naran around 5.30 pm. Stayed at PTDC Motel which is very comfortable and at an excellent location.
Hired a Jeep and went to Lalazar an amazingly beautiful and serene place. The road is non existent and it is a very narrow track very slippery. Then moved on to Lake Lulusar. Words can not describe the beauty of the place. It was very cold there and raining. Returned back to Naran and went to Saif Ul Malook. anonter gorgeous place.
Left for Islamabad the next day at 9.00 am via Abbotabad and Nathiagali reaching around 9.00 pm. Stayed overnight and drove to Lahore today. My ride was Steermatic. It was a pleasure to drive it specially on steep climbs and steep downhills. Made full use of Manual shifting with minimal use of brakes. The climb from Murree expressway was a breeze I have taken six gigs of pictures and will be posting them in next few days
The roads are in pretty good condition except a few bad patches. By the Grace of Allah my car did not touch the ground or stones and the came back unscathed
