Enroute to Islamabad...as planned we stopped for breakfast at a road side trucking dhaba. My elder son checking out one of the charpais while waiting for garma garam parathaas!
Doodh patti and garma Garaam greasy parhataas...just the way they should be. Had a heavy breakfast to last us the whole day.
While we were waiting for Naashta, the ladies got busy exploring...guess what they discovered. Anaar, umroodh and yes, kuddoo/lokkee!
I was glad the ladies were enjoying their road trip too.
My elder son putting down his observations enroute while my younger son looks on
A rear view of N5 and a passing train.
Guess what we discovered enroute to Lahore...absolutely delicious mouth watering peaches...just the way I like them, ripe & karhak! sorry dont have any pics while eating..they finished faster than the camera could snap a picture!!
Heading towards Okara Toll Plaza...and on to Lahore by pass.
My younger son, enjoying the road trip!

A valiant effort. Awesome info and pics... Thanks for sharing. I'm glad to know that your family also enjoyed the long drive. It can become quite a pain if the family starts getting bored or tired.

By and far, the road conditions were better than by expectation. Some patches under repair/construction. I drove from Balakot in the evening and reached Khanian at 9:30 pm so drove most of the way after maghrib. Realised on my way back how dificult the terrain was. But Alhamdolillah didnt have any problems what so ever.
I second that.
Thank you for viewing sir! We have a beautiful country, Alhamdolillah! And the best way to really enjoy it is by raod. Thank God my family enjoys long drives too...otherwise it would be dificult hauling the family across the country.
