SALLAM PAKWHEELERS:
LAST WEEK I WAS IN CHENGDU (SICHUAN PROVINCE) CHINA SO I FOR THE SOLE PURPOSE OF TOURISM AND TREKKING. SO I DECIDED TO START WITH THE TREK TO THE GOLDEN SUMMIT OF MOUNT EMEI OR EMEISHAN. THIS MOUNTAIN IS LOCATED IN EMISHAN CITY NEAR CHENGDU.
Mount Emei is a mountain in Sichuan province of Western China. EMEISHAN means "lofty brow", but the mountain's name is merely a toponym that carries no additional meaning. It is one of the five scared mountains in China and at 3,099 meters (10,167 ft), Mt. Emei is the highest of the Four Sacred Buddhist Mountains of China.Mt. Emei was made a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1996. Its summit is known as the Golden summit which has a large golden statue of Buddha. (WIKIPEDIA)
ITS FAMOUS FOR ITS SEA OF CLOUDS AND SUNRISE.
I HAVE UPLOADED HIGH RESULOTION PICS ON FLICKR AT THE FOLLOWING LINK:
